Good Stuff, Jamar, Moloney and Rivers are all still important part for our otheryoung guys going forward, We all know they have played well all season, but letting them go will only set us back further. What we need at seasons end is to add some real topline mids to our centre.
-
Can Someone confirm if we finish 16th what picks we will defs have. Im of the belief we will have pick 3,4 (scully compo) 12 and 19?
-
Ok i know there are a million similar threads and we are only half way through the season but forget Travis Boak, lets get Brad Sewell or Nick Dal Santo. Both are proven stars, both different types of mids but both at 27/28 have something to add. For me Brad Sewell is our man hard as nails, quick and a good user of the ball. A midfield of Sewell, Moloney, Jones, Viney, Blease, Gysberts and another top 5 pick looks good.

5-6 wins is a bit much but we will finish in the bottom 3. Viney and Jake Stringer i would love. We are so desperate for topline mids it aint funny. ITS A MUST. END OF STORY!!

Been fairdinkum most of you think this is a no brainer but i think we will finish 2nd last. Sheedy will tank GWS and they will finsh last and GC will be percentage above. Just my opinion. After today it really hit home how much we need 3 or 4 top mids in the draft/trade/Free Agent. Goal kicking mids for that matter too.

Look i acknowledge that some people have seen many more tougher years than me, i get that. What has happend in this past cant be changed and as much as we hate it, we have to deal with it. OK Some of players haven't ever really been pushed too hard in either the Daniher era or the Bailey era and only now at 27 -30 they are experiencing hard work. I have good inside knowledge that players never really understood Bailey. Neeld is only giving playesr the opprtunity to prove themselves to everyone. That is only fair in Just. If they decide the want to sulk and not put in the effort well they can go. All the top teams have players that listen, put 110% effort in and always are trying to improve. Before Neeld came to us he only worked on Melbourne for one game of the year. He did really know what they would turn out like. He was dealing with blokes Like Swan, Pendlebury, Ball and Thomas. Go Figure.

Ok i know you all are entiteld to an opinion, to be angry, to complain and to lash out at the club atm. I am too, i can hardly stand too watch them atm and i struggle going to support them atm. They have given us hardly any hope in thier performances thus far. I anticipate the rest of 2012 will bring more pain and frustration amongst us passionated demon faithful. WE HAVE ALL HAD AN ABSOLUTE GUTFUL!!! We have all being extremley patient for many decades and now we are sick of it. i hear you all. We/ the media can blame Don Mclardy, Cam Schwab, Mark Neeld and Neil Craig. You can twist and turn the whole scenario and pass the buck to all the off feild staff. Everyone including the media can say ''Melbourne is in Crisis", '' Sack Schwab", ''Is Neeld the right man for the job''? and co. But the real problem right now is senior players. We all know who they are. Mark Neeld, Neil Craig and Don Mclardy know who they are. It is frustrating and sad. They have shown bad body language on the field by not dont chasing hard, tackling, smothering and running, all the one percenters which are so important in modern football. I have no dobut that if any player doesn't comply with gameday and training requirements they will be moved on. SIMPLE. If there was a mid-season trade off/delistings/draft Mark Neeld and co would make some big changes. But that isn't the case, we have to wait until seasons end. That is also a time for some of those players to show how man they are fix themselves and be part of the club. If not, then they are moved onIn any job if you are not performing you simply get the sack no matter how good you are at your job?. END OF STORY. With some high draft picks on the cards, Jack Viney and some cash in the bank we give ourself the best opportunity to improve our list at seasons end. People saying bouycott the games are weak themselves and really should go follow Collingwood Essendon Carlton or Hawthorn. You are only further hurting our club and something Jimmy Stynes would be fuming about. WE DONT NEED YOU. So everyone suck it princesess and GO DEES.

Im a 24 year old tradesman and i have copped alot of flack from opposition supporters in my short life. I completley acknowledge that there are thousands of of passionate dees like myself that have seen many more tougher years than me. But now we must band together as a club and keep big Jims dream well and truly alive. I am certain he is upstairs trying to help as much as he can. He always told his Reach kids to dream and go for it no matter how out there or hard it seemed GO FOR IT!!! and that is exactly what we are going to do. Go get the cattle we need dees I BELIEVE we can do it do WHATEVER IT TAKES. LONG LIVE THE DEES!!

Hope you get to read this Neeldy. Coaching is a real tough job, dealing with media, supporters and co. The MFC unfortunatley is a mess. We as passtionate supporters/members are completley fed up with CRAP this club has dished up since 1964 in particular since 2008. All of us are sick of being bagged for supporting this club because for too long it has accepted mediocore performances. Not too mention some players seem to be enjoying this Nightclub scene a bit too much and not working hard enough on the field. Since your appointment i and sure many other passionate supporters have being taken by your no nonsense/ hardline approach on footy. As you know most of these players havent being worked that hard in the past. People cant expect you to put this side into the finals especially if certain players arent sticking to structures or working hard enough. This year is going to be real tough on everyone particularly yourself. We all hate it. So this season will be a right off with plenty of pain on the field and off. But it is also a time to really evaluate who desperatley is dedicated to succeeding and who is not. If there are certain players who arent complying move them on. We have no space for passengers. Finally i trust yourself , Neil Craig, Cam Schwab and the entire recruiting staff to chase the best players in the trade/free agencey/ draft. If that means getting Travis Cloke or a midfielder from another club do it. Plus getting 3 or 4 of the best young midfielders in the land that are ready to work hard and play footy and the acquisition of Jack Viney. Make the most of the high picks we will more than likely be gaining. BEST OF LUCK GO DEES

Ok everyone is going to have divided opinions but, i went last nights match to take a mate who is a cats fan, and from what i saw of cloke i thought he worked really hard up the ground, plenty of marks and tackles. Also he physical prescence was really impressive and if he was to join us he and Clark would be a great combination up forward. On the otherside of the coin we need good mids with leadership bad. But assuming we will finish in bottom 4 this year we are going to draft Jack Viney and a few more mids. For me Cloke gets the nod.
-
As tough as it has been for us demon fans and we have an absolute gutful of losing and mediocore performances come end of the season we should take advantage of our picks. We will get 2 picks inside the top 5 pick 11 ish and pick 19ish.Ok, assuming we finish 2nd last We use pick 2 on Viney, pick 3 on another topline athlete of a mid and with picks 11 and 19 get some more midfield depth. Trade period we move a couple of passengers on. People may also may disagree but in Free Agency we should consider looking at a couple of 28 year old experienced players whom can help our aspiring group of mids. ATM Leadership is seriously lacking in the midfield. if Jamar and Moloney wish to go then bye bye. Players like a Jude Bolton, Black and co who still believe they have something too offer should be considered. I love Trengove and Grimes but, since Moloney and co aren't helping out much atm 2 or 3 of those blokes i would entertain as like a playing mentor/ lead buy example for them.
-
Aside from Viney what other star mids are there out there one Name ive heard is Lachie Whitfield. We purely have to get some mids that can come in straight away ala Dustin Martin type an have an impact.
-
what about dion prestia or Josh Caddy?
-
Today was just another reason why we are where we are. It just emphasises more than we must recruit a Dangerfield, Viney and and really good fast and smart midfielder who can win his own ball ( Marc Murphy type)
-
If we could get a hold of a Dangerfield and another couple good mids in the draft people may disagree but i think we will start clicking. Our midfield is missing something.
-
Boak is ok but we need some real good top quality mids. Blease and Gysberts have potential but they need to get there priorities and heads right. They live in my area and people i know who know them well say they are too busy partying and drinking out at our local pubs a bit and dont take training as serious as they should. If i remeber correctly, they week after Trengove slung Dangerfield he came out and kicked 6 goals. A goal kicking midfielder is high on the priority list.
-
If Freo have likes Pavlich, Sandilands, Ballantyne, Fyfe on big coin plus offer Cloke a million dollars a year, surely we would have money in reserve for another 2 top players on our list. I believe Clark, Davey and Moloney would be the highest paid at our club and they would problably wouldn't be on as much as Pavlich and Sandilands? If Patrick Dangerfield who i believe is a victorian boy, is thinking bout coming home, Cam Schwab/ Mclardy should go full noise and offer him a big contract to play with us next year. The kid is 21/22 gun and plays exactly how Mark Neeld wants. Plus i believe we (assuming we finish bottom 4 this year) will end up with the possibilty of gaining a top midfielder through the draft aswell as Jack Viney. Imagine a midfield of Jones, Viney, Trengove, Dangerfield, Sylvia, Bate and Moloney. Not bad at all.
-
Get him Dees. We should throw everything at him. i believe we still have room in the cap, he is a gun, good speed and loves to kick a goal.
-
Agreed. If we were to finish 16th this year what picks would we get. i understand it would be something like pick 3, 6 and 9. With out doubt we have to get mids, but mids with classy, speed, agility and hardness. Jack Viney being 1.
-
Gysberts isnt committed enough atm. If u look at all the top teams they at least have 3 superstar ball winners Carlton- Judd, Gibbs and Murphy Collingwood- Ball, Pendlebury and Swan Hawthorn- Mitchell, Sewell and Hodge West Coast- Priddis, Kerr and Embley. We sure as hell dont have that.
-
Doubt they will pull out
-
But Melbourne have committed to picking him up they just have to elecate a draft pick!!!
-
Are u kidding once he gets a bit more consistencey he will be a gun. He has speed loves to kick a goal, gives other players the dont argue. Agreed with Moloney and Jones they are tough but a little slow. Gysberts and Blease live in my area see them out a fair bit drinking and having the life, but from what i gather from others that know these blokes Nelld hasn't been impressed with their attitudes!!
-
Jack Viney is Father Son they cant pick him.
-
We will finish in the bottom 3. I/ we all are sick of it but, another high pick in a strong draft this year is desperatley needed. Today we saw how good Cotchin, Martin, Delidio and Foley are. When those blokes fire for Richmond so do they. Our guys like Moloney, Magner, Bate, Mckenzie, Bail, Jones are ok we have heaps of them, but we desperatley need 3 top line superstar mids with a bit of Amazing about them ( 3 Dustin Martins). Jack Viney has poetential to be that but we need 3 ready to go blokes.
