Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
I heard he misses Brodie Grundy!

Dan Houston
i would rather see Dan Houston go to another club than see us trade pick 6 for him.

Christian Petracca
As Andy mentioned i don't really want to get into anything unconfirmed or speculate too much, but you might well be right, we just don't know enough. What i would say is that IF it's gone as far as a player leaking this to the media that would be incredibly dissapointing

If he's genuinely having this much of a tantrum we should trade him, it's too toxic and corrosive having players that don't want to be there at the club.

It would probably be the biggest trade return that a club has received in AFL history

Luke Parker open to move
He's perfect for what North Melbourne were eying Jack Viney for, a leader with premiership experience who will still contribute on the field and provide some leadership and experience in the locker room. My suspicion is he'll be at the Roo's next year.

two top 10 picks and a player would be my asking price. Lets say hypothetically he wanted to go to North Melbourne, i'd want Pick 2, their future first and Zane Duursma it'd be a really big haul.

Best Presser Ever!!
I thought it was hands down his best press conference since he has been at the club and exactly the type of leadership i wish we would see at times from pert and Richardson who are silent far too often when things are going wrong.

Season 2024 Over for Clayton Oliver
Good move, it's so silly to send him out there injured and at the mercy of the rabid media that are out to pile on the MFC at every opportunity, get him right so he can have a full pre-season and get back to his best next year. if we have a fully fit Trac and Oliver next year we will be back into the finals mix well and truely.

Time to go Goody?
It's a really good point, i saw another poster saying earlier that if you reverse our close losses, we're sitting second this season despite our poor statistical profile, injuries to key players and patchy form. I can see why coaches would look at that and think a lot is going right and if we get players fit and healthy we can compete again, i still think if not for the Petracca injury we would be playing finals this season. I really hope we don't trade our pick 6 though, it seems clear that we need to continue to add top end young talent into the list so that we can remain competitive long term.

Time to go Goody?
Without speaking to the results of the review before it happens i'd be absolutely shocked if Goody was under any pressure at all to retain his position internally. if we go all in on a flag, trade away our draft picks and miss the 8 in 2025, then i am sure the conversation will be had.

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
The club is signaling that we won't play hard ball on Alex and will work to get the deal done, my suspicion is that he will be a piece of the Dan Houston deal and this is already informally agreed between the MFC and PAFC

Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Far out this is a massive loss!

I think that part is Tom Morris being Tom Morris to be honest, contracted players request trades all the time. Tom is really just saying, he won't be going anywhere, but he's really really angry.

Trade Targets
Thoughts on Liam Ryan? if he was open to the a move to the Dees he would add some X factor on the ground and in the air to our forward line, and potentially without a huge amount being required trade wise.

Well i'd say if you're releasing a statement in response to reports, a good place to start would be addressing the reports. I understand he hasn't because clearly there is some truth to them, but he still could/imo should have addressed them I think as a supporter base at times we're very willing to just buy whatever the club is selling, this is the same CEO who went on SEN and said we have the best culture he's seen in 40 years at the same time the Clarry drama was playing out, which was clearly a laughable statement in reflection by any measure. We've got trade rumors around 3 of our stars, Trac, Viney and Oliver, shockingly low home game attendance, we've fallen out of the top 8 and most neutral supporters don't need to look too hard to realise things have been better at the club. Obviously he can't name names or give specifics around the concerns, but he can admit they exist and re-assure fans they'll do all they can to address them beyond speaking to players and coaches which is common place at every football club in the league every single off season regardless of the seasons outcome.

Must say it doesn't inspire confidence.

Kate Roffey
I must admit to feeling a little bit dissapointed that we've heard rumors of Clarry being traded, Trac wanting out, Viney being chased hard by north, all while we're losing games and the wheels feel like they're falling off and we have embarrassingly small crowds and we've not really heard from Roffey, Pert or Richardson at all. I am sure they're all doing enormous work behind the scenes, but publicly i think it would have shown some strength and stability if the leaders of the club got out there a little bit more. Mind you after the SEN interview with Goody and Pert i can definitely see the argument that he could make things worse rather than better.

Christian Petracca
Regardless of what happens with Trac i think it's clear the club needs a full cultural re-set and a significant review conducted externally of the FD, if we are chasing Houston and going all in on another flag we need to make sure we're getting it right.

it would be classic Tom Morris to suggest that noone visited Trac while he was in medical isolation because we just don't care about him haha. How this bloke got another gig in the media after his shameful comments and treatment of women is baffling, the guy is a joke.
