Just throwing it out there, the rumoured 6 year deal could well have come from the Giants with 800k plus on the table? would Chip say no to someone offering that far over his worth to play finals, I mean the Giants could rise up the ladder quickly with that level of talent anyway and he would be set up for life.

If he's smart he'll go to the suns, they could pay him 600k a year, he would play finals every year for the rest of his career just about, best chance of those sides of a flag imo with freo, geelong and hawks all having ageing stars.

It's not entirely surprising, we are essentially relying on Viney and Tyson to win our clearances, both are around the 20 game mark, when they get close to the 100 game mark and we have a well developed Jesse Hogan up front we will be a very tough prospect I reckon we need another couple of really good mids though, for us to be a finals team blokes like Terlich, M.Jones, Bail and co have to be seriously struggling to get a game, I reckon we will draft petracca with our first pick and trade the other, offer Prestia a massive deal to leave the suns, or Dangerfield big dollars, Dangerfield improves our midfield 20% the moment he walks in, they can have Toumpas and pick 5 for him

Just got off the phone to my best mate who has spoken to Jesse today, she said you can't wipe the smile off his face, absolutely stoked he is staying another couple of years Can confirm there has been really strong interest from not just west coast and Freo but other clubs as well but Jesse knows how much we have invested in him and he's got some really good mates here in Jack viney Jimmy toumpas and Dean Kent He's in for a significant pay rise but I wasn't told an exact figure and also Jesse is hoping to play against the lions but the club may make himwait an extra week, he's really working hard to get back asap

Rumour flying around albury where Kirk is from are that it's him and it will be announced as soon as fremantles season is over, Fremantle are apparently aware of this as Kirk wanted to give them ample time to find a replacement, it's just a rumour but alot of people in albury know Kirk really well so might be truth to it

i was speaking to my nephew today who is a big dons fan and i said don't rule out Saint Sheedy coming back to try and get them back up and running after they are destroyed by their own stupidity

This is an interesting point you make, so many on here not happy with Toumps progress but watch Roos on AFL 360, he talks about the really good up and coming mids we have and the three he highlights are Tyson, Viney and Toump, Roosy obviously rates him, i still think he can be a really good player, and i reckon Roosy will turn Trenners into our best mid by the end of next year

the thing about Petracca in particular is he is a more than dangerous forward as well as mid, he is an absolute game breaker, and Brayshaw is going to give us the same thing every week for the next 10 years, alot like Nathan Jones i just don't think o'rourke or even someone like Coniglio offers as much as those, i'd give up Brayshaw for Shiel or Treloar but that's about it

One thing i have loved since having Roosy on board is the Systematic approach to our revival, our first task was to get competitive, we now average 40 less points against and have a finals standard defence, next was being able to win games, we have won 4, and probably been in a position to win another 6, next is to eliminate the costly errors which we have to work on but the direction is obvious and it shows we are not far off at all, we could easily have 10 wins and be in the top 8, maybe we wouldn't deserve it for not beating top teams all the time but that's not the point. and while all this is happening each player has improved at least 15% in my mind, Dunn has gone from an ok player to potentially All Australian, Jetta has gone from delisted to a solid best 22 player shutting down dangerous forwards, Watts looks better, Howe looks better, Dom Tyson and Bernie Vince would be causing all sorts of regrets for their old clubs so while not winning on the weekend sucks we are in a much better position, i reckon 2015 will see us leapfrog some teams

I'm in the don't trade picks 3/4 camp pick up Brayshaw and Petracca trade our second rounder for Tommlinson grab Stretch with our third rounder grab a couple of delisted free agents, i still think Ryan Okeefe would be handy on a forward flank for us maybe we could try and get Jack Hanneth back from freo

I know what you mean Bb but it seems right now they only thing going for them is sympathy of the public, If ASADA played their hand with some of their evidence they could crush all public support and get people wanting them punished and labelling them as cheats

ASADA should play their hand imo, that way even if the bombers get off on a technicality they won't shake the cheaters tag
