Any of our boys playing well?

he has been going okay, 21 touches and 6 tackles last week is fine, he's developing, i don't agree that he's barely making casey seniors i reckon that's way off the mark and him being drafted was obvious at the time he was rated at pick 2 most of the year, i think alot were shocked the giants didn't pick him up, personally i reckon it was part of the Hogan deal that they'd let him slide through to us

he's doing fine, occasionally, young players take more than a year and a half to become good at AFL Level, mind you Toump is averaging 17 touches at AFL level so he's doing okay anyway, it's just how well Wines is doing that is making people more concerned

He is going to get at least 500k a year, I can't see us getting less than band 1

I wonder if we could get Jack hanneth back?

I get the feeling the coach and players rate toump differently to what the demonlanders do

On the leadership point How can one lead if he does not believe in the direction enough to commit to it? I'm sure chip i a decent leader but to me its a strange position for him to be in

I don't think he will, purely based on Lions, Saints and Tigers desperately needing key position players, I reckon, Wright, McCartin and Durdin are the top 3, and Petracca will be 4

After having a good think about it, who could blame Chip for leaving? he's been through a few false dawns, put up with the clubs constant off field mistakes, tanking saga, winning 33 games in 6 years or whatever It was, constant big losses, high draft picks failing to come on over and over

I tend to agree, decent X factor but I don't see a top 10 pick personally, i'd rather see us pick up one of the strong bodied mids, or two if Chip decides t move on

I think Zaharakis has taken the next step as a footballer, i'd nearly consider him elite now. Mitch Duncan is also a fair footballer, abit like Nathan Jones he seems like he would bleed for his side, doesn't wanna be the hero just wants to be part of it all

I'd like 2 inside mids, 2 outside runners and a good young ruckman incase Gawn doesn't come on

they might seriously consider Maxy, as doggies defence is fairly short without roughead another option would be to bring in Georgiou and push Garlo forward

he just needs to be really tightly checked on the inside, which i reckon probably only Nathan Jones could do, but then we'd lose our best ball winner so it's hard

IMO, stop Libba and we stop the doggies, without Griffen and Cooney i don't see too many matchwinners for them, and their defence looks light on again,

the thing is our existing midfield taking out the west coast game is ranked 4th, in a side with the second worst midfield, hogan will improve the forward line the moment he gets out there, but if we improve our midfield our defence will be under far less pressure and i have no doubt will quickly get close to being the best in the comp, even as soon as next year, if we add, Trengove, Petracca and Sheil it will be a good step forward for our mids, perhaps there is a good young key defender we could land with our second rounder, or maybe we could get another top 10 pick through trading and gain young lever

we know he's loaded with talent, still only 22, has no issues with work ethic or anything like that, he'll be fine i reckon

Haha that's a good point, why don't the players get on the phone and ask Mr Hird what they were injected with, if they are unwilling to seek the truth then they are more interested in getting off than maintaining the integrity and fairness of the game, and this makes them cheaters in my book mind you I reckon they knew they were doing something dodgey anyways

I felt as confident Wattsy was leaving last year as I am about Chip so who bloody knows.
