I wonder if we could work out a deal that saw us target Devon Smith from the Giants, i rate him quite highly and seems like the sort of player who would be less of a priority for them to retain than Shiel and Treloar, float some dollars under his nose and see if we can work a deal out

As great as it would have been to sign danger, even though we still might, personally i am pretty happy to just take picks 2&3 to the draft and back the development of these players, there are a few potential A graders on the list now, i'd rather see us develop our own superstars than throw absolutely everything at Danger and have him need a knee reco or something round 4 next year, knowing our luck that's exactly what would happen.

I'd be taking brayshaw at 2 and downgrading 3 to either the suns for 7,15 or to the dogs for a player and 6

Pick 2 lands them mccartin something they desperately need Mcrae, stringer, dahlhaus, libba, Wallis&hrovat Combined with pick 6 I'd be fairly happy with

His age is my concern, better to develop a player in that role, a playmaker off half back will be vital to finals aspirations and malceski won't be around that long

We are going to trade at least one pick I would Say so the saints can't count on mccartin getting to pick 4 I think the lure of a tall forward might be what gives that pick value for us

Imo he has asked for assurance that if it's line ball they give us pick 3 for frawley to help offset the loss of Clark

Garland would have to have some trade value based on his 2013 season, very capable defender.

This depends 100% on what danger wants to do if he wants to leave picks 2 and 3 suddenly become a hell of a lot more tempting

I don't think brayshaw and mccartin would be a terrible result for our club if a trade doesn't come up

I'd take their first round pick, we need to play hardball I'd rather see Mitch try his luck in the draft than accept way unders for him

Even if we don't get danger we have shitloads of cap space and a couple of top 5 picks I have no doubt he would not be the only target
