Are we all on the Giants bandwagon?
I hope so! i just can't see the Giants, off a 6 day break being able to beat the well rested Pies, with Daicos back in front of 95k rabid pies fans. if they can pull it off it'd be one of the best AFL wins of all time

Exit interviews 2023
Salem won't be traded, but in my view he should be moved into the midfield. we have all the grunt in the world but lack some class in there. people keep complaining about the bombing it long, but that's all Viney, Oliver, Petracca, Sparrow, Langdon. none of these guys are above average field kicks. If you look at the Pies, Pendles, Sidebottom, both Daicos boys, Crisp. they're all significantly better kicks than any of our mids.

Salem Thyroid Concern
I actually think he needs to come into the midfield rotation. we need his ball use, he's very clean and Rivers has come on so quickly and effectively pushed him out of his role off half back which is incredible. I think we can cover him and he adds a totally different look to the mix

Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
Interesting, i would have though McKercher is someone who would really appeal to them. don't mind if he falls to us instead.

Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
I'd be going Watson. in my view he's in the best 2 players in this draft, some of the stuff he does is just special and i'd say he'll slide outside the top 3 simply because of his height. Watson and Kozzie is a combination that would give opposition teams nightmares

Maynard must get at least four weeks
Wow. The AFL can enjoy the mega law suits they've just opened themselves up to!

Maynard must get at least four weeks
My goodness this whole situation is ridiculous. how does an attempted smother result in someone bracing and making head high contact with one of the oppositions best players early on in a final Not buying it at all

I actually really rate the combination of Petty and Van Rooyen with Jefferson developing. i don't think we're in a horrible spot if we can improve our entries. I'd be looking at a Key back.

Phantom Drafts 2023
It really is a sign of how much of a mess West Coast is that they aren't doing cartwheels at the idea of bringing in a talent like Harley Reid. For the record i think they'll end up with Curtin one way or another.

Harley Reid
We aren't getting Harley Reid, West Coast are more likely to take Curtin pick 1 than they are to trade that pick and miss out on a gun, W.A prospect like that. I think we are far more likely to push hard for the Suns first round pick with our picks 15, 24,36 and potentially a future first and hope we can somehow snag a combinaion of Duursma and Watson who would immediately add some incredible talent and X factor to our team. but that's just my opinion

What are they saying at Glenferrie Road
Statement game from the MFC, not just because it would be winning a game we're expected to win, but i expect us to be absolutely ruthless all over the ground and really grind the Hawks into the dirt. we'll be looking for a win that sends a message and reflects a team hitting absolute top form.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
I think sometimes we misread these things. none of the players you mentioned are elite pressure players. potentially Carlton can't reach the levels of pressure they did last night with those guys in. It's a totally different game, but 253 as a pressure rating is off the charts, if you bring that you're not going to lose very many games and the fact we probably should have won despite it only reenforces our flag credentials.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Nope, Brisbane can't defend well enough to withstand 20 inside 50's in a quarter and pressure above 250 for sustained period. if that was even Brisbane or Collingwood i suspect Carlton hit quarter time with a 6-7 goal lead and the game is nearly cooked. I don't think we are, or will get enough credit for withstanding that type of momentum. i've never seen a better defensive effort on a football field. if we are just a tiny bit cleaner we win that game by 3-4 goals which is remarkable because i don't think anyone else could have beaten Carlton playing like that.

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
2 best teams in the competition going head to head in an absolute 18 round belter. bloody loved the game, hated the result. there was SOOOOOO much to like about our performance and i am more confident we can win it all. No team outside of the two that played tonight is capable of playing at that level. and the scary part is neither were at our best.
