  1. I don't wanna have a crack at McVee but i am just not sure he's going to be an effective attacking half back... he's a gun lock down small defender, someone who could be all australian in that role, but while he's quick, he's not an amazing kick, just solid, i don't think he has the natural game sense others do and just seems to have better defensive than offensive instincts. hats off to freo if they can make it work but my vibe is that Judd got pigeon holed into a role because he was great at it and it was getting the absolute max out of him as a footballer
  2. Both teams just posturing ahead of what is probably going to be a tough negotiation with any deal that does get done coming very late in the trade period. I think our outcome will be dictated entirely by our ability to convince Trac and the Crows we'd hold him to his deal. they need Trac, that's not in question but if they think we want him out, they'll offer what they like be it a couple of picks and just not go much higher. If they think we would, or would rather hold onto Trac i think you'll see a motivated Crows team get active in trying to figure out a deal, or get another team involved.
  3. Legend! I don't even have twitter these days so between watching that on facebook and then jumping on here to post it i lost the link! thanks for searching it up!
  4. you're the links master! Tom Morris posted a short video update on Trac via SEN about 10 minutes ago! maybe you can find it and post it?
  5. Tom Morris just said on SEN that either the Crows or Suns can and would absorb Tracs contract.
  6. if we did accept the crows picks which are both not going to be very good I think it would be virtually confirmation of off field concerns with trac to our culture. We have no incentive to trade him unless heโ€™s being toxic and causing issues or we get an amazing deal, if we get a couple of early second round picks essentially that would tell me we just want him gone. I donโ€™t think one player makes or breaks a footy club and we shouldnโ€™t be worried about if trac goes but itโ€™d be a horrid outcome if we lose trac for average picks and miss out on Flanders as well
  7. hand in the cookie jar type stuff! Haha
  8. Given we can now trade 2 years in advance how about this The crows next 3 firsts 2025,2026,2027 For petracca and pick 23
  9. And then immediatley stick the boots in about us being weak and letting him walk for unders, saying we should have held him to his contract and a good club would have kept him and backed themselves to improve. If King gets us up and going and into a finals team next year i reckon Trac will probably change his tune, personally i'd be tempted to shut the talk down right now and see how we go under King for 12 months
  10. Trac is a contracted player at Melbourne until we agree to a trade and looking at the crows draft picks theyโ€™re well short so hopefully the meeting includes a discussion about how on earth they get this deal done. Unless another team is involved I donโ€™t see it
  11. Letโ€™s just hope for a good trade outcome
  12. The saints are overpaying like 6 B graders because they have nothing to offer but money. Iโ€™d rather go to Essendon than st Kilda.
  13. Not to mention Judd would probably be in the top 10 of this draft if not the top 5, itโ€™s a really good get for freo but I just canโ€™t see them caring whatโ€™s fair
  14. If west coast didnโ€™t I suspect weโ€™d have a PSD selection before freo. Maybe we could re draft him? Haha
  15. A lot of players in this years draft are tied to academy picks so basically clubs will bid on them and the host club matches and the next picks are pushed back 1 each time so even the suns pick 6 might end up being pick 8 or 9 itโ€™s also seen as a very shallow draft pool this year so the top end talent drops off quite quickly so even that pick 11 might not be that valuable
  16. Essentially why I bring it up is this If Fremantle low ball us, we can threaten to send him through the pre season draft where he potentially ends up at west coast. This gives us some leverage in a situation where we otherwise have none. If we donโ€™t get a decent offer Iโ€™d just send him to the draft to essentially send a message we wonโ€™t be walked all over
  17. If an out of contract player requests a trade and the two teams canโ€™t negotiate a trade the player can nominate for the drafts, west coast hold pick 1 and would be a really strong chance to take Judd Mcvee
  18. Yep. First round pick or he goes into the draft. The message to the comp that we are prepared to PSD players I think could be more valuable than a pick 35 in a weak draft
  19. I think this is genuinely one where maybe sending him through the PSD gains us more then just accepting a nothing pick for a good young player
  20. That pick 11 will probably end up being 16 ish anyways which Iโ€™d say feels not too far off the mark. But agreed itโ€™s not exactly exciting . I hope weโ€™d at least call up doggas management with a monster long term offer.
  21. Iโ€™m assuming west coast have the first pre season draft pick so potentially thatโ€™s some leverage If Freo are annoying about the trade? Iโ€™m sure theyโ€™d pick him
  22. I for one enjoy watching the cats fail.
  23. Oh yeah well. Now itโ€™s 1 year. Cop that Judd.
  24. Heโ€™s not an easy player to value trade wise. I feel like pick 11 is overs but pick 29 is under. Maybe pick 11 drifting out to more like pick 15-17 post academy picks and such is better? Perhaps a later pick swap as well
