He's being cut because they've just spent 4.5 million on a huge shopping spree and his midfield role is being changed with Windhager in there, Flanders potentially and NAS as well. He's a solid citizen, squeaky clean off the field, still a very solid player when fit, AFL captain experience and leadership and very likely the Saints would pitch in. Not every recruit can be a big name, if we wanna re-shape the culture, a Jack Steele on 500-600k is someone who can help with that in a similar way to Bernie Vince or Jordan Lewis when we recruited them.

The Suns might want a scenario where they get all their academy players, Trac and don't give up any players but that's their problem to solve. If they don't want to give up any players i'd want at least 2 good first round picks, especially given the draft

Pick 6 and Sam Flanders for Christian Petracca Scenario 2: Flanders doesn't nomiante us Pick 6 and 7 for Christian Petracca and pick 23 I'd love Humphrey but i can't fathom a world where the Suns let him go, especially if they don't need to to get other deals done. Maybe if they could get Charlie Curnow in a straight swap?

Here is the problem with Tom Morris, he runs off with these wild extensions on whatever intel he has. Christian Petracca and Sam Flanders are not equal players or prospects.

If you took the players on our list most responsible for the poor conversion inside 50 due to long, aimless bombs or rushing rather than making good decisions. One of them met with Dimma on the Gold Coast today and the other is on the way out now. I think by virtue of that alone we should see a difference. when the guys kicking it inside 50 aren't great kicks or decision makers we can't be surprised when our conversion is bad.

Is there any danger we could just have an uneventful off season? maybe we bring in 1-2 players, maybe we trade someone, no huge shots, no paying guys salary to play elsewhere
