  1. Perhaps this has driven the Clarry decision, we could increase our offers to Flanders and Humphrey and be really really happy fans if it plays out well.
  2. I think we've been imploding since 2021 and it's quite jarring to see some strong leaders steadying the ship, it's making everyone feel a bit uncomfortable but i think if we take the emotion out of it, this young group coming through is where we need to focus, and move on from 2021 and the Goodwin era.
  3. Yep, i think that's going to happen as well. I hope the club has one more swing at it though, i'd rather pay him slight overs than lose Trac, Clarry and May and not add anyone at all
  4. could push for Max Gruzewski given he's very much on the fringe there.
  5. Clarry even with his reduced form would be a weapon for the Giants. he just needs to win the ball and get it out
  6. It's hard to imagine all the drama around Trac and Oliver helps our chances with Flanders aside from that we definitely have a spot in the midfield for him.
  7. Not to mention Bailey Smiths blatant homophobic mad Monday costume, that received no punishment, yet Rankine got 4 weeks for 1 word.
  8. People forget he's a human being, and a fairly fragile one at that.
  9. I think the other side of this is i think Petracca, Oliver and May to some extent have been masking how good our youth actually is and that's where it's going to surprise a few next year Lindsay, Langford, Kozzie, Turner, Windsor, Tholstrup, Rivers, Bowey, Chandler, Van Rooyen and so on is a really good group
  10. He's got a bright future in the Red and Blue that lad!
  11. He's still alive? He's been so quiet i forgot he existed
  12. Say what you will. But i rate that. well done Clarry
  13. Remember when Guerra said that Clarry and Trac were in Melbournes best team... good times.
  14. This is genuinely insane. What's going on with Clarry that we're suddenly this desperate to get rid of him? How is the media getting hold of this? WTF
  15. I would bet my left arm the club hasn't leaked this and it's Clarries manager. We don't know the outcome of the meeting, Clayton is contracted and could decide to stay regardless of what we say. I suspect we're going to set the bar pretty high for him, perhaps not even guarantee his spot in the AFL team and make him earn it, and his manager is doing his job by putting the industry on notice he might need to move a multi million dollar player on short notice.
  16. Correct. the specific intel seems to be King has Called Clarry and his manager to a meeting and "all things are on the table" and Clarry might not like what's said. Lets say the club lays down the law to Clarry, and if he doesn't agree to all of their expectations he'll be asked to move on, i think that's a very appropriate approach from a new coach to someone like Clarry.
  17. Mate, they care about clicks and that's about it. every year people like Caro and Sam McClure run with stories that end up being shot down almost immediately. Their employers want engagements, they're in the entertainment industry, not the truth industry. Yes some have great records in terms of getting things right, but it's not a priority, mistakes aren't a big deal so they run with stories that aren't verified routinely
  18. if King says to him, if you stay you'll be in the VFL maybe it does prompt him to have a look. I hope he stays regardless.
  19. This leak is almost certainly Claytons manager letting the market know because he's likely going to have to scramble to find a new home and it prepares the market for Clarrys presence when it wasn't previously expected. It's worth noting Clarry is contracted and can just decide to stay and back himself in.
  20. If he's desperate to stay at the MFC, thinks that's the best thing for his welfare as that's where he's support network is set up given how fragile he has been it would be significantly more irresponsible to surround him with change, uncertainty and doubt all for the sake of money. The money is worth zero if his health and mental health collapse again.
  21. Would Clarry re-negotiate his deal? I reckon we'd change our tone pretty quick if Clarry took a 50% pay cut
  22. Posturing do you reckon Daz? idk that sounds to me like the club is expecting him to be there next year because noone meets the demands?
  23. Anyone got a link to the interview? i'd love to have a listen
  24. Really happy about this! Heโ€™s going to teach the young talls a lot and be another on field coach
  25. Canโ€™t wait to see the big rooster with a new fast ball movement game plan and 1v1 looks inside 50 Big break out year incoming
