  1. Giants next week should inflict more pain on them! I seem to remember being shot down earlier in the year for suggesting we should wait til they play someone decent before we judge them as being any better than average
  2. We really should be able to win the next three games. I'd be dissapointed to lose any of them. 7-4 mid year with no max would be amazing considering how close the four losses have been
  3. Lol Richmond..
  4. id be all for a mandatory week off after concussion
  5. I'm hearing he's fine but they are taking no risks at all. He copped a hit and was a little groggy but no huge concern at this stage.
  6. I reckon we just need to give gus some time off now, Health has got to come first
  7. No change unless hogan is fit in which case I'd swap him and weid
  8. I think when hogan isn't there we are a bit harder to predict, but we are definitely a better side with him in there and playing well, probably still need to lower our eyes more often and learn lessons from the way we play without him maybe
  9. Will put my $50.00 through this arvo when I get home as well! Well worth it for a win like that
  10. I feel last night really reenforced my view that we are a lot better than a 4-4 side i personally have us ahead of the tigers, cats, saints, and so on and definitely good enough to beat the top few sides. Its just a matter of how quickly we stop the lapses, we still gave up six goals in a row at one point last night but we were able to turn that around in quarter. I am very confident if we can win say 50% minimum of the games until we get max back we can have a serious run at the finals and if we get in and have stopped the lapses to a point I think we can be a threat as well
  11. One thing I loved today which hasn't been spoken about is dom tysons aggression, I thought he really stepped it up today and some of his tackles were brutal, he's been to easy to get passed until this week
  12. Viney oliver hibberd frost Jetta petracca
  13. I'd keep tom McDonald at centre half forward from now on! His work rate and contested marking was fantastic! He and hogan would be a serious handful with watts the third tall
  14. Here's our [censored] quarter folks. Over this club
  15. Toying with no even watching this one
  16. My point was more to illustrate how big a loss he is bb, if we were 6-1 and playing horrible quarters in games I think that would show just how good we are/ will be. I also think lacking max dominance has probably played a big role in our inability to stop those run ons at times
  17. I can say with a fair degree of confidence that I believe if max gawn hadn't been injured we'd be 6-1 we are much better than 3-4
  18. I can't see our backline being good enough to restrict their forwards to less than what our makeshift forward line will score, we might play well but it will be tough to win this one
  19. Kicked multiple goals and won the hit outs convincingly and he's about half as good as Jacobs. Pedo is fighting hard but we can't really expect much rom him
  20. He also placed a bid on heeney so at the time they clearly rated heeney in the top 3, which isn't surprising because I think he would have gone pick 1 comfortably in an open draft
  21. I still think if we can be in the hunt mid season, get gawn back and we will improve our consistency and can come home with a wet sail and challenge for the eight. But the saints may just keep winning and make it impossible
  22. I must admit i was shocked by how good Bernie actually was, from that first training session when he was slotting 55m goals from both sides it was hard to ignore how good he was. has been a fantastic pickup for the Dees, i really hope we are able to start playing some consistent finals in his time and give him a shot at a flag before he finishes, i personally think he has another 1-3 years
  23. I've heard from a very reliable source 'Chris Judd's Grandma' that we are close to signing " @Bitter but optimistics jolly good floggin's " as our back of jumper sponsor, obviously this would be a huge coup for the club because not only does everyone enjoy a jolly good floggin, but it gives us a chance to reach out to supporters of other clubs who also enjoy a floggin', Collingwood supporters for example have one several times a day, the perks of being unemployable i suppose.
  24. Trengove is smarter, a much better on field leader and a MUCH better ball user than Harmes, considering a lot of our issues against the hawks seemed to be based around lack of organisation/ on field leadership i think you could make a great case for Trengove if it were as simple as Harmes vs Trenners, unforunately i can't see him playing unless one of our other inside mids is under a cloud
  25. I think an area where posters are quite unfair on gus is his possession numbers. His midfield time is quite low so I think it's unfair to expect him to get 30 touches until that increases. At vfl level he consistently gets big numbers but at afl level he is quite consistent around the 18 possession mark, playing off a flank mostly.
