  1. I agree, I think Dom Tyson is a less essential player so they're happy to swap him for Josh Kelly but a bloke like Cameron is going to be a far more significant loss, if they feel they are no chance to keep him and we offer a couple of top 5 picks I think they will take it and run, I also agree that I don't think the saints will finish last, I think last will more than likely be decided by who wins out game against the Lions
  2. The rumours are of homesickness, so I think that probably rules out Brisbane, the Saints would be the ones to beat in terms of a trade but we could offer financially a very good long term deal and a couple of top 5 picks, i'd personally say picks 3 and 4 would trump pick 1 or 2, although I have heard they are very keen on Petracca. Personally I can't see the saints passing up a forward like McCartin for a midfielder, so i'd say Petracca will slide to at least pick 2
  3. If saints or lions finish last I am about certain they will take mccartin
  4. Would we consider taking Peter Wright as a developing forward/ruck?
  5. the bidding process takes place before the trade and draft period so we have to commit to the pick we are going to use before that time.
  6. Liam Duggan and Paul ahern look as good as brayshaw imo
  7. Nev will be elevated with a pick, I personally would also elevate Georgiou to the senior list, so that's two later picks
  8. Sam Mitchell would be one, not sure other than that.
  9. To be totally honest Ahern interests me a little more than Brayshaw, wouldn't be upset if we pull the trigger possibly a little early on him. what draft range to people see Wigg going? would our second rounder be in the frame?
  10. He was, commented that he felt Luke Hodge at the time was a far more complete player, but reckons Gary Ablett Jr is currently the best player of all time
  11. I'm not sure on that one mate, I think there is a huge possibility they're going to back themselves to keep him regardless of what we offer, but if we offer a really good deal like that there is an outside chance they will at least look at it, anxiety over losing players for nothing will become much more potent a weapon in this sort of situation once the compo is scrapped altogether and it becomes a prospect of getting nothing for a star player.
  12. I found it to be a strange comment on his part, surely McCartin the likely number 1 pick has been more impressive than Goddard, a bloke who will possibly slide outside the top 15
  13. Sorry Pennant, are you referring to Durdin or Goddard?
  14. If we were to look to replace Chip via the draft Durdin would be the obvious choice for mine did anyone else on here watch on the couch this week? Michael Turner saying Hugh Goddard is on par with Luke Hodge as the best two prospects to come out of the Geelong Falcons in his opinion, could very easily prove to be a bargain pick, was rated top 5 besides his poor champs
  15. I Reckon that's a good idea, the top of the draft doesn't inspire me any more than the teens, the trade you suggested to the suns I think would be a huge win for both parties, if we could get that done with the frawley compo and add perhaps Corey Ellis and Lachie Weller, a couple of players who I think will be solid B+ for 200 games, Ellis has a really good left foot and can create off half back, Lachie has a really good turn of pace, but is also more than capable of winning the inside ball, the beauty of the paul roos game plan is every pick doesn't have to be a superstar, the player just have to be able to play a consistant role for the team
  16. I rate Treloar higher than Shiel personally, if it came to a choice, i'd happily take both

Phil Hughes is a bit of a flop isn't he
  18. Even Wright and mccartin haven't been convincing in my opinion, They will probably be decent players but compared to the last couple of years it seems a pretty weak draft, maybe the real gems are down abit lower, Corey Ellis, De goey, ahern, Weller they all look solid prospects, perhaps the Dom Tyson type deal could prove a huge winner this year
  19. agree on Mitchell, I find the boyd comparison interesting, I consider him to be ultra consistant but not someone who is going to be damaging, just an honest ball winner, I see Brayshaw as a little bit better than that, I think his kicking can be damaging, I found his national champs extremely disappointing compared to his lead up to them, perhaps he didn't handle the step up in quality very well, which could be a concern it's a pick I have no issue with trading, i'd rate Dylan Shiel a long way above Brayshaw to be totally honest, Petracca is the mid from the draft that really interests me, I reckon you have it bang on with Dustin Martin there, I reckon he will have bursts of brilliance but I don't rate his tank, I think he could fade in and out of games a little unless he can improve that.
  20. Just did, for the record, brayshaws disposal is rated A+ on both sides, which is his biggest weapon, hence the Sam Mitchell comparison from end
  21. I'm about the same od if it means getting danger to the club, obviously Adelaide would have to be certain he was going to walk for nothing next year to even consider it
  22. Dee luded we need to offer Dangerfield massive dollars to get his attention, and they'd want pick 2 and a player imo Would we give up pick2 and watts or Howe for danger?
  23. So would you like to offer them? Or prefer just being a [censored]?
  24. Why's that machsy? any better comparisons you can offer?
  25. Brayshaw is your Sam Mitchell Petracca is your Nat Fyfe
