  1. no chance of getting him in the first place. secondly sounds like he comes with some serious baggage. steer clear, the last thing we want on our plate is another Aussie Wona or Liam Jurrah
  2. interesting theory. If we could secure someone good for him (AKA midfielder from carlton) i'd be interested in that
  3. look... I am not going to start talking about how amazing he is after two promising games Yes, the last two weeks have been pretty amazing and he''s shown us flashes of the serious level of natural talent and skill he has. But we've seen with Watts and Sylvia the only way hell be worth anything is consistency. I hope, i hope, i hope
  4. Sylvia can be the focal point of Melbourne. In a dark dark dark year he has been very solid and given his 100%. this last 3 weeks Melbourne have improved and i have visibly seen an improvement in endeavour and chase. Under a good new coach, (such as Roos) Sylvia could hit a new level. I reckon he has this year, he's not so erratic anymore Go Col
  5. it would be a tragedy to go down by 100 or something with so many milestones. Hopefully we can really push the cats
  6. lol, you all predict Sylvia to be gone. not a chance in hell
  7. After readin that it appears to me he is waiting to see the new coach and changes in the near future... very excited and happy to read that article though :) love ya col
  8. i wouldbt be upset with getting Duigan. but i would be Laidler
  9. this guy has no idea and he always posts rubbish things also, he sends me private messages
  10. this threads a joke. you underrate trengove and dont even bother rating future guns such as Evans whatever
  11. this was not supposed to turn into another Watts v NicNat thread!!!!!! i just wanted to merely point out and engrain that Watts has new gears to go to and he's going to become a very difficult player for other teams to man up on. I always go to games and say "i dont know how we are going to hold pendles, or buddy, or Gaz" but wouldnt it be fantastic to say " i dont know how they are going to hold Wattsy"
  12. Yeah i completely agree. Nicnat is just more flashy as a player than Watts, doesnt mean he is more effective
  13. Mate, Nicnat has been an absolute Jet and on Thursday night played injured. There's no question that when you say who'd you rather Watts or Nicnat youd have to say Nicnat, AT THE MOMENT. I do believe Watts has the potential to be better than him though. Also i used to get alot of flack between who's better; Hurley or Watts Hurley is absolute rubbish, Watts all the way
  14. My only worry is the next coach, whether it be Craig, Roos or whoever is going to put Watts down back. I dont want that... i like the idea of B: Terlich, Frawley, Tmac HB: Grimes, Garland, Clisby
  15. no no, i completely agree, he's going to be prolific in the improvement of the Melbourne Football Club and tonight showed it
  16. As you have all noticed and watched.. the last 3 games have been against Collingwood, Saints and Doggies. We have witnessed Jack Watts put his head over the footy and show some serious grunt and hard work. Watts has been kicking goals and look really lively, something we have rarely seen from him. The funny thing about him is that, he could and in my opinion get even better, Jack throughout matches drops some very silly marks and makes some errors and i get the feeling by rnd 1 2014 he wont drop or make any errors. Once this kid gets some confidence he's going to be a jet. I finally believe we are seeing the start of Jack Watts
  17. I reckon we should be absolutely stoked. we beat a real team, not a development team. Fantastic to get the win and beautiful first three quarters. Jack Watts won us the game to be honest, mark in the last quarter, 4 goals wowweeeeeee assess during the week the last quarter fadeout
  18. 6. Jack Watts 5. Nathan Jones 4. Chris Dawes 3. Dean Terlich 2. Jeremy Howe 1. David Rodan honourable mentions to Sylvia, Garland and Frawley
  19. The amazing thing with Hogan also is that he also tackles and makes a physical presence of himself along with having a beast mark and kicks goals consistently.
  20. Tom Gllies is hopeless and Jetta has not been terrific either
  21. In my opinion our best group for round 1 2014 is B: Dean Terlich, James Frawley, Mitch Clisby HB: Tom Mcdonald, Colin Garland, Jack Grimes C: Jack Trengove, Jack Viney, Jimmy Toumpas HF: Colin Sylvia, Chris Dawes, Jack Watts F: Jesse Hogan, Mitch Clark, Aaron Davey Rucks: Mark Jamar, Nathan Jones, Mature Aged Pickup/ Free Agency Extended Bench: Pick 1, 2 or 3 in the draft, Michael Evans, Shannon Brynes, David Rodan, Sam Blease, Jordie Mckenzie, Matt Jones, Luke Tapscott Dean Kent and Jake Spencer REMEMBER WE WILL HAVE INJURIES Certain Players i've left out and why: Cameron Pederson: Is a lazy player and doesn't put his head over the footy and thats pathetic, considering he is huge James Sellar: looks and plays like a potato Lynden Dunn: Does not work hard enough to be an AFL player if you dont agree or i've left anyone out, dont desitate to comment :)
  22. IMO Hogan is not to be played in the ruck, ever. Forward line set up Half Forwards: Sylvia, Howe, Dawes, Trengove floating in there as will Toumpas Full Forwards: Clark, Watts,Hogan Small Forwards: Tapscott, Davey, Brynes, Rodan (can play mid), Blease We have to take into account its going to be very rare that Clark, Watts, Hogan and Dawes will all be fit at once, unfortunately it just doesnt happen often enough Rucks: Jamar, Spencer, Gawn, Fitzy Personally out of that group i only like Jamar and Gawn.. but maybe Spencer and Fitzy could flourish into guns, no idea Our Forward/Ruck line seems pretty promising approaching 2014. If Sylvia were to go it would really kill us in our plans moving forward. Would change Howe's position in my opinion and also forcing someone like Trengove to potentially play Sylvia's role. Going to be interesting, there's definitely potential
  23. something really funny. Craig is now shining with the loss of mark neeld. I reckon Neeld going could be the best thing that happened to this season and to the MFC. maybe he is even worse than Schwab
  24. just watching the replay of Stkilda v Melbourne Pedo is absolute shower rubbish but id rather him than sellar and gillies
