He does numerous 2nd and 3rd efforts though! i don't see jamar doing these things. Jamar is a good ruckman but i think the game has passed him a bit as ruckman are more athletic now and he is more of a lumbering giant

as the other ruckman develop (gawn, spencer) jamar will definitely be passed by them. atm Martin should be our preferred option over jamar, i would really hate to see him go, and as you said become the next jolly or mumford. we also shouldn't want to move ruckman on as what would happen if a few went down injured???

I really do think we would be very foolish to move martin onto another club. These 2 videos are a top example as to why he is such a valuable player to us! There is only one other ruckman i know who can do the things he can consistently, and that is naitanui! Martin is a gem and is one to keep

There is a thread on paul marschall if you want to look. he's 20 (187 cm, 80kg) and he is apparently a very good kick and is in the draft this year.

If we had another backman who was as good a kick as watts then i would say put him in the fwd line with clark but as we don't he stays there. if we get maschall and he is as good a kick as everyone says he is then i think watts would be good up fwd, but is he strong enough yet???

He has played for Casey Scorpions this year too. Gippsland Power played today in their preliminary final against Sandringham and won. Muir was named 2nd best without any goals so I would say he has been moved up to the wing/mid area now.

Yeah that makes absolutely no sense, Giles was one of the premier ruckman in the comp this year. i don't blame him for wanting out!

as it says he is 20 already so you would think he would have a stronger body than others in the draft this year. It would be nice to have another good kick out of defence like watts has been this year. If watts ends up developing into a fwd and we have this guy then we would still have a good kick out of defence. go get him!

I love the look on the Sydney player as Howe takes the mark I seriously think it would be worthwhile for the AFL to get 'the script' to sing this song at the grand final! would really pump the players up

my thoughts exactly, plus he is my favourite player so i'll always be a bit biast towards him but i think even with that in consideration, he will be our best ruckman next year provided he is injury free. I really hope he doesn't go! if he does then that will mean both of my favourite players have both left the club in 3 years!!!

as far as i can tell atm, melbourne got the better end of the deal, provided we draft well with the compo picks. He has had no better than a mediocre season and is definitely not worth the $2 million a season or whatever he is getting! He also has knee tendon/ligament issues so they will have to manage that well, probably will never play a full season! We don't want people like him around the club anyway despite his talent, we need people who are trustworthy and don't lie!

i would've had hawkins in there! he has dominated the 2nd half of the season!
