Pretty disappointed in today's efforts. Jack Watts. He looked like he had just woken up 10 minutes before he went out onto the ground, and he played like he was half asleep. He did 2 or 3 good things, but the amount of times where he let us down outwayed them. When he made a lead today, he didn't demand the ball, he didn't want it. When at a stoppage he just stands there on his own waving his hands around, instead of picking up an opponent. His defensive work it well below Roos' standards. He should have been subbed instead of Tyson. Umpiring was so bad, I watched the game on TV but by the sound of our supporters it was terrible, but I loved how vocal our supporters were. Dean Terlich, turnovers and bad decision making will cost you your position in the team, Clisby is waiting. Jordie Mckenzie, some terrible free kicks against and hate seeing him waving his arms around everywhere, when the ball lands in his lap he just gets tackled and he could learn a lot from Crowley how to get the footy, not just tackling only. I think our defenders had a tough day because of the GC midfielders, I have heard people say how bad Georgiou was but he did ok. Nathan Jones, Cross and Viney again had great games, bit our outside midfielders struggled. We were rattled by the quality of their midfielders.

From the games this year Ablett, Prestia, Swallow and Rischitelli have been their best players, all midfielders who consistently kick goals It is vital we keep these guys quiet, Mckenzie to Ablett, Viney to Prestia (both hard nut inside mids very similar players) Cross to Rischitelli and we need to be wary of Swallow and O Meara who will get big numbers, but it all depends whether they get those numbers in there defensive half or attacking half. We are in big trouble if we let them get in space around their attacking 50. We should dominate the ruck with hit outs, but we need to get it to our midfielders, we need set plays in there! We have the defenders to shut down S.Day and T.Lynch who it seems are there main forward targets. We have better big men and Dawes, Frawley and Watts should be a hard to contain for GC. Also a special mention to A.Hall very fast and loves to play against us, we have struggled to deal with him in the past and we need someone with pace to play on him. D.Stanley is another who plays well against us. We need to be more direct when we go forward this game. A lot to take in but I think Roos will be confident going into this game. This will really show whether the boys are improving or not.

Ling WTF, I won't watch any post match interviews or anything involving him because he is so ugly and he will get grilled so badly if he wants to be a senior coach, seriously. Imagine winning 2 games a season under Ling and then having to watch him explain why. Stick to radio Lingy, you saw how bad Neeld copped it at times with his face all screwed up (sadly from a stroke) imagine how bad Ling will cop it.

For God sake he was our captain last year and is in his early 20's you make it sound like his is in his early 30's! He is my wife's favourite player. Come back fitter and stronger Trenners.

I would keep the same team. JKH looked exciting I would hate to see him dropped, loved his chase down tackle and his goal was pretty special. I am a big fan of Evans and thought he came on as the sub and had a lot of aggression and did well.I hate to say it but Jeremy Howe has been very quiet. I would bring Garland in for him if he is ready.

I would like to see Evans as the sub again, he came on with plenty of aggression and had some impact, I'd say no changes and I think Roos would agree. Good team effort yesterday but still heaps to improve on.
