  1. Some people with depression don't understand depression, a lack of resilience can be a contributing factor.
  2. You just love telling people when and when not it is best to say something, just get on topic.
  3. glad you picked up the spelling mistake, now go [censored] yourself again.
  4. Some people with depression don't understand why they have it..work that out.
  5. Gee wizz daisycutter sometimes it's best to keep you mouth shut....(you know the rest :-) )
  6. No it is not the week, Carlton by 55 points, onto round 5.
  7. I agree partly with what you say C&B and I have seen people with depression 'throw in the towel' which in the end gets them no where and the medication they are given for some from a very young age leads them to being outcasts and committing suicide. I think what you are saying about him making a come back and winning a Coleman medal would be the best outcome from where he is at. He is not being a coward by quitting football, because it is just a game or a job for him and he definitely hasn't let us down! What I think you are saying what others missed, is that they only way to get better from depression is positivity and quitting is not it, but we must be considerate of the environment he is in being a professional footballer always in the media etc ,quitting football for him might be the way he gets better. That doesn't mean he is giving up everything else.
  8. I don't really see defenders as game breakers, I would prefer to get a gun midfielder or key forward
  9. Sorry mate but who are you to judge if C&B has knowledge about mental illness, just because he made a couple of poor comments......?
  10. Depression is not a defined term, it's based on the individual. C&B is probably struggling to understand why Mitch, being the successful footballer, good looking popular man etc etc suffers from depression. And yes it is sad, a very sad situation. Trying to understand it will leave you even more confused.
  11. Gamebreaker/Gun midfielder/power forward?
  12. Apparently compo for Frawley will be the pick after our first pick in the national draft, say we finish last, we will get pick 1 and 2. Quality tall forward and gun mid fielder...
  13. Will have to watch Footy Classified tonight, at least the talk is back to a possible return instead of a retirement announcement.
  14. We need another clean out, it's the only way.....
  15. The more I watch it the funnier it gets...
  16. Sorry Flemo56 I'm out on personal leave.
  17. Crisis at Carlton on the news, only to bounce back to a 55 win against Melbourne, You heard it here go and put a bet down.
  18. At least we won't have to watch Betts kick 5 goals playing on Garland this year...!
  19. This reminds me of the start of the. 2012 and 2013 seasons under Neeld. Supporters believing change is about to happen, but by round 3 have lost all hope.
  20. What is our priority in the draft next year? Clearly we have issues with forwards it seems Clark will not be with us. We will also have a problem down back with Frawley most likely moving to another team. We also have a huge ruck problem with Gawn and Jamar looking unlikely for some time if ever, with Clark out we really need a ruckman/forward (hale or roughead Petrie type. We also have a midfield problem and are still being dominated in clearances which is a huge issue and could be related to us using our 3rd choice ruckman. Priority for me is clearly take the best player available in the national draft, which will most likely be a midfielder, but we desperately need to replace Mitch Clark with a Ruckman/KPF. We will most likely have first choice in the draft for a midfielder, we need to learn from our mistakes. No skinny kids Must love the contest ie Oliver Wines vs Jimmy Toumpas Take the best player available over what we require....watts vs N Nat. Must be highly skilled (not uncoordinated) WITH A FOOTBALL BRAIN......no Jack Fitzpatrick John Butcher types Must not be slow (Trengove) Must be Alfa male type......Joel Selwood, Luke Hodge not Richard Tambling Must have body ready for the riggers football...not Mitch Clark Max Gawn Traditional hard nosed footballer, not flashy just gets the job done with week in week out, o Meara, Crouch, Selwood, Birchall Is there one out the that fits this description....?
  21. Jack Fitzpatrick. Round 1 vs St Kilda (ES) 4 disposals 2 marks 1 tackle concussed subbed out at half time. Round 2 vs West Coast (MCG) 4 disposals (4 handballs ) 0 marks 2 tackles subbed out? Round 3vs GWS (SPO) 4 disposals 2 marks 1 tackle full game Is there anyone who thinks he should be replaced by a player short or tall. He is an example of why our club is such a basket case, Jack has had all pre season to prepare himself for the start of the season, and he puts out 12 disposals and 4 marks in 3 games. If Paul Roos doesn't drop Fitz to Casey then I will be even more concerned about the situation the club is in.
  22. We need David Mundy. Free agenda next year.
