  1. Does your model predict a total number of votes for Melbourne? who have you got coming second for Melbourne out of interest? Actually I found your report, it’s bloody amazing!!!
  2. If we are Brave and take the game on - we win. If we are behind and move the ball slowly - it’s 50/50. I’m happy to slow it down with a 4-5 goal buffer, turn it into a grind. Get it done.
  3. The AFLW is and should be marketed to promote the ā€œsuburbanā€ feel of footy. What makes it attractive is the more intimate feeling of local grounds, where it’s encouraged to bring a seat, kick a footy, have a picnic rug if room permits.
  4. What’s the fine for a run-thru (banner) with a few choice words on it. Reckon we could get a pretty good go fund me going to cover any costs :.)

Did you see the steam coming out of Jacks ears. I’m incredibly proud of the restraint he showed, to not get rubbed out himself, that was true leadership by Jack. If that was the grand final I can’t tell you what sort of carnage would have ensued….
  6. Referring to one of @binman indicators of the key indicators for a premiership, being injuries, are we boned?

That is a very confronting photo. My initial reaction at the time of the incident was to turn to my wife and say his poor mum.
  8. We got this.
  9. Lightning, I hope the weather doesn’t destroy a great game of football
  10. Who are the bulls, the contested beasts in this team, they are all outside players. If Jack cares hopefully this fuels him even more because he has been a man possesed this year.
  11. Saw her speak on AFL 360, thought she was very eloquent and spoke well. Seemed more down to earth, hopefully that’s a good sign.
  12. No injuries please!

Have I missed the point here? The top 4 teams that loose in the first week, will end up with a longer break for the games the following weekend, which is the shorter turn around. Given the first week has a bye isn’t that better for the top 4 teams than getting the shorter turn around first?

Couldn’t agree more - my daughter and I were discussing this point and the only logical reason to win is an FU to somebody at the eagles.

West coast are trying real hard to blow the number one pick anyway. Fancy nearly winning a game at this end of the season. I don’t understand the math, but maybe North should have some mystery injuries and try and lose by 100 pts in the next few weeks, it’s only percentage between the two.
  16. Looks like the cheersquad had front row seats for some of the plays of the day. That first goal by Kozzie sublime. Another favourite was Kozzie breaking the ankles of Ziebell, basketball style…
  17. But no ads siren to siren….

I get the sentiment and it’s unfortunate for Grundy that things to date have not worked as planned. Along side Max firing, Petty/JVR and Melksham playing well does not help his case. But the guy is getting paid close to a million dollars a season. So unless we get a very good deal, which includes decent ruck depth then I say suck it up, and get better. I get the vibe Grundy is a professional, he understands this is his job and won’t be a bad influence or rock the boat. He seems to clever for that.
  19. I heard commentators on the weekend saying Tim English will be the AA and is the best ruckman in the comp. Spare me please…. What a leader, what a player., when it matters most.
  20. Many demonlanders knocked Melksham for his defensive efforts in the past. Clearly he is playing well and his elite finishing is a joy to watch. It’s hard on tv from interstate to see how his defensive work and tackling pressure are going, has it improved or on par? Is it concerning we have coughed up over 90pts in each of the last three games, or have we found a new way to win in a shoot out? I feel like we have multiple ways to play now, but I’m not sure what our DNA is this year. I’m interested for a prediction on when the experimentation will stop if at all and what our finals game plan will look like.
  21. Lol, I was waiting for the umpire to blow it but hunter ran further than a BBB set shot run up
  22. 4 free kicks to 2 in a half of footy umps have put the whistle away. This game will be won by who can maintain the rage for longer

I’m no lip reader, but I can clearly make out Oliver saying ā€œwhat more do you want me to doā€ Given goody’s presser said he had one more session to tick off - I’m assuming the message that he hasn’t ticked off the final hurdle didn’t go down well with Clarry. Im not expecting him to play this week based on that footage.
  24. I am interested in the commentary around Gawn being out of form. Are people concerned about his tap ruck work or his influence around the ground, or both? Im not sure he’s cooked. He is obviously on the wrong side of 30 now, so I’m expecting some slide in the coming years. The poor bloke gets held, scragged and interfered with at every marking contest, if he was Cody weightman he would have had 1000 free kicks by now. Conditions have been miserable for tall marking players in recent weeks. I feel that he played that dominate marking player much better when he is a kick behind the play. When he is the target, everybody knows where the ball is being dumped and multiple bodies crash into him with little chance for a grab. So is he out of form or is it a structural issue, where he’s not being played in his best role, coupled with the conditions that make it seem like he isn’t at his dominant best?
