Not sure if you can easily see this marked up photo. This was a boundary throw in, with Essendon putting a spare in defence. Melbourne had 2v1 with their extra in the centre of the ground. Anyone able to explain the intent here. Is it to try and bring the ball through the corridor by hand or foot or either?

Not a question but more of a comment. I was hopeful, but after witnessing that live, I see why people say we are cooked. No leg speed, fitness not up to standard, no cohesion. Simon could be the best coach in the land. It doesn’t matter, we need something drastic, We need a reset button. The obvious choice is a fresh voice as coach. The other is a raft of changes, dropping a number of senior players.

Warm one in Adelaide today - hopefully it cools down for game time. Looking forward to a strong performance, but I’ll take anything, that’s a win!

I wonder how the width of the cattery affects this game style requiring biting off accurate kicks? If there is less space maybe we will see a bit more of the older game plan?

Great work on the upgrade guys!!! Being in IT - I understand what a mammoth task this is just not technically, but managing customer expectations! One thing I have noticed is that “I think” the forum used to display the username of the last person who posted in that thread, but now it seems to always display the forum name, am I mistaken? It’s not a big problem either way.

There seems to be much argument about “the game plan”. I think we need to seperate is there a distinguishable game plan from our feeling about if that game plan is the right way forward or working. Either way, it was clear from Goodys presser that the game plan is irrelevant. It’s back to the fundamentals of contest and winning the ball. What responsibility if any does Nathan Jones as a new midfield coach have on what is happening in the middle the last 2 games?

Matt Rowell absolutely towelled us up. It seemed to me - at least at some points - he was being matched up with Oliver. Oliver is my favourite and clearly the best player on the team when firing. But he has the wrong body shape to stop a body shape like Rowell. Surely Viney or Petracca are better suited head to head with this body type?

We are in a serious funk. I don’t think we can play any worse. We just need a bit of confidence. The intent is there - it’s between the ears now.

Hi Guys, Possibly starting this thread early. Last year the club had an open training session for fans in Adelaide prior to the gather round Match. I booked the day off work, was all set and then got a really bad virus the day before the training. I didn’t want to share that - especially around the players - so couldn’t go. Hoping for some good news that it will run again this year, hopefully I can get leave again, any info on plans would be greatly appreciated.

Was actually a great game of footy, huge clunks end to end, with speed on the ball. Unfortunately as a redlegs supporter the result didn’t go our way.

For full transparency I have unfollowed him on instagram and he can have my viewership back when he puts the Melbourne jumper back on. I understand that players have a limited career, but does his influence will slowly fade as soon he is no longer a footy player? but in 10,20,30 years time is he going to regret not coming to premiership reunions because he burnt his team mates?
