  1. I work in a cd store, and was struggling to keep a straight face when people we're streaming in two weeks ago asking for Michael Jackson CDs, and when we told them that we sold out pretty early, some got abussive. I don't even want to start about the hoards of 'fans' that decided to go out and buy his music after he died. It infuriates me. Anyway, two rather big cd's were announced for September. AFI will be dropping their eight studio album, "Crash Love" on the 29th, and Brand New will be releasing their new one a week earlier. Does It Offend You, Yeah are playing their first headlining tour around then as well.. What a huge month.
  2. Has anyone picked up the new Alexisonfire? It's 'officially' out tomorrow, but we started selling it at JB yesterday. If this doesn't debut close to number one, then something is seriously wrong. What a KILLER cd! Very different from their earlier work, but man.. these boys are freaking talented. I have a very vast music taste. I guess my 'ideal' music is melodic hardcore.. pretty much Alexisonfire/Thrice.. and bands like Brand New, Rise Against, Bring Me The Horizon AFI, Coheed and Camrbia, A Wilhelm Scream, A Day To Remember and so on. I'm pretty big into metal as well.. Machine Head are an absolute favorite. I like to get my 'electro' on a fair bit.. bands like Does It Offend You Yeah?, Pendulum, Royksop, MSTRKRFT, Junior Boys and a few others... then there's Miley Cyrus. Oh dear. I don't know why i like her!

This is kind of on the same topic as the previous post.. not to do with a partner, but a customer that I served yesterday. I work at a cd store, and a lady came into buy a cd with the clubs theme songs on it for her son. I asked her who he followed, she said the cats, much to the dismay of his father. She added that he was a Dees supporter. When I asked her how on earth that happed, she said that her three year old said that he "didn't support losers". I told her to say the exact same thing to him in a few years time when we're right up there, and the cats were fading.. it'll happen!
  4. I was surrounded by Tigers fans all day. They were so damn smug before the game, and quickly kept quiet after the second quarter. I swear my eyes started welling up when i saw how excited the players were after the siren. They were so enthusiastic about running to the boundary to thanks the fans as well. Great day. I forgot how good it felt to win!
  5. I put my hand up for this. I think that there is SO much potential to captivate this age group.. and I think that using websites like facebook and myspace (regardless of what some people think about them..) could be somewhat influential.
  6. I actually bought him an infant one at the start of last year. It's a little bit big for him, but it's always draped over his hutch. He's a passionate little fella!
  7. I signed myself up last week. Dad's going to take some convincing though.. and signed my rabbit up for his third consecutive year. He's pumped!
  8. 82-2 The design is fantastic. The best one that I've seen yet.
  9. It'll be interesting to see how hard Universal try to promote the album. I'm assuming that they're going to push this a fair bit considering that no-one outside of the average football fan would be interested at this stage. Either way, I'll put it on the rotation at JB chadstone! We get quite a few Melbourne players down there on a regular basis. It should be good for a laugh. After having a quick listen, I'm going to assume that he got full use out of Pro Tools. Oh my.
  10. I made SURE that I got the day off work for this one. I'm thinking that I got it off due to pity.. and the fact that my boss thinks that we might get up with a win! Anyway, I'll be there.
  11. I don't think I've felt happier to be a Demon. The support for this football club is unbelievable. I'll be chipping in more then that $20 for sure. I might throw in everything that I make at work today. There are a couple of other Demons supporters at work. I'll get into them in a couple of hours!
  12. Your enthusiasm is quite infectious! I'll be donating more once I get paid next week.
  13. I'm not making enough cash at the moment to donate a whole lot, but I found $20 while cleaning my car today that's going straight to the club. It's a start I spose.
  14. I couldn't get anyone to cover for me at work. I managed to get some reception and had the game on radio whenever I was out the back. We were going to have it on TV in the store, but some damn construction workers cut our antenna.
  15. The poster is fantastic! Love the song.
  16. Pretty much what the title says. Tune into Fox Sport 1 at 12:30 for the full replay!
  17. I invited all my Melbourne supporting mates via facebook, and some seem really keen!
  18. It's official! I didn't think that it would happen so quickly, but things are turning around! http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl...7-19742,00.html "Rivers, who will now help out with defensive coaching, has also been added to the leadership group." "Brad Green, overlooked in a player vote at the start of the year, has been elevated. Brock McLean, removed from the group after indiscretions earlier in the year, has also been welcomed back. Aaron Davey and Brent Moloney, who like Rivers will miss the rest of the year, are the other additions. Veteran Adem Yze is no longer in the leadership group, along with the injured Russell Robertson and retired David Neitz. So that now makes it: Bruce Junior Beamer Rivers Davey Green McLean edit: forgot Miller The main article is about how Rivers is going to be put on ice till next year.
  19. I assumed that it was a literal thing, considering that the next thing that was read out was Lyon's headline in the herald sun.
  20. I'm thinking that the only way to get something like this off the ground is to get the ball rolling and show people that we are dead set on not letting this club die. I think it's a fantastic idea. Who knows. Some millionaire closet Demons fan could be inspired by our passion and help out the club as well. I'm so in.
  21. Yes, but last year we were coming off our first win of the season, and we weren't getting thumped almost every week. We're in a much worse position then last year. With that said, there's still no reason for people not to come and support the club.
  22. I want to be there, but my best friend is leaving the country for good that afternoon, so I'll be spending the morning with her. I'll be at the game though.
