It was damn embarrassing. I expected thousands more to be there, if only to say goodbye to Neitz. We sounded pretty loud at stages though.. but that's not the point.

For those that didn't hear it, the decision to retire was made by the fact that if he played again, there was a big chance that he risked serious injury, and pretty much guaranteed surgery to fuse disks in his back, which was a road that he didn't want to travel down. Neale Daniher was just on,talking about Neita. it made me smile.

He was jsut on SEN. No send off match. The neck injury finished him

I have a feeling that I'll shed a tear the second that i hear him speak on the radio.

I spoke about this with some friends last year. I think that the few weeks after are going to be a blur, but it'll consist of attending every function possible, and possibly heading to las vegas with a few Demons mates for some more celebrating.

It sucked not being there.. so much. After only hearing the half time score, I sent my brother a a text asking how much we ended up losing by. When he replied 'up by 8 with 2 mins to go', i lot it. I ran out the back of the store, stuck my demons scarf on, informed EVERYONE at JB chadstone (not that anyone believed me at that stage), and walked past the TV with the replay every five seconds.

Non-issue. And for the record, AFI have been around for 17 years and pre-dated this horrible new wave of emo bands.

I'm in the same boat as most. I'd love to go, but just can't afford it.

I'll never stop supporting the club. I go to every game possible... apart from when I have work.

I really want to head down, but it doesn't look like anyone is willing to swap shifts with me. It's going to be the first home game that I'll miss since I started buying a membership, ten years ago.

I've been rostered on, but can hopefully change my shift. It's not looking good though.

Yeah, I cringed quite a bit. And I was wondering about the flags. Everyone in my section seemed to have them. Where were people getting them from?

1. Neitz. He has giving us some awesome memories of the past, well, 15 or so years. 2. This is a pretty tough one.. I think that it's between Brock and Jones. When on song these two ooze leadership and hunger. 3. Morton by a mile. This kid is going to be something special. 4. I loved watching Lyon growing up, ditto with Stynes, but the Ox gave me the best memories.

I think going off to sleep is a great idea, but I have things to do. I'll tune into SEN later on to see IF anything really did happen, but it's looking pretty unlikely.

Have they acknowledge the text messages being sent through? I'd tune in, but.. don't have a radio. And I need to head off soon.

Chris Connolley has come out and said that Neitz isn't going to retire, and that the call made by SEN was 'rubbish'. i guess that's the end of that.

Stunned is exactly how I'm feeling at the moment. We all knew that it was going to happen.. but..still.
