AS WJ says it's probably designed to give the young bodies a rest but it would have been good to see them in a free flowing game. Not sure what it is about the VFL comp but it seems to involve a lot more packs. Perhaps it just looks that way when you watch the game from boundary level.

agree... but why do they constantly play him as an inside mid at VFL level if we are trying to develop the skills you mention. I know it builds up his tackling strength etc but perhaps it is time to .... Let Billy Run !!
