Foxtel Sports aka Kayo
yeah it seems that Samsung and I think LG are on the "too hard"list for the moment Not sure why as for example Sony appears to work well Samsung was incompatible with ABC I view for a long time which caused a lot of gnashing of teeth in our house!!

Foxtel Sports aka Kayo
since the app was launched on Monday there is a new 20 odd pages on whirlpool. Most of it is positive but I have noticed most posters are talking about loading it onto various media boxes such as Nvidia Shield. Have not noticed too much commentary about a vanilla installation on a TV itself.

Foxtel Sports aka Kayo
Big development... the Kayo Android TV app is now out and available on Google Play Search for "kayo s" as just kayo does not show it. Let the games begin You need AOS version 7.1 on your TV so you may have to update your TV software

Foxtel Sports aka Kayo
You might be right but Kayo like Netflix is a different product to Foxtel. Foxtel required a physical boxto be delivered, long term contracts etc. It wasn't an impromptu purchase by any means. On the other hand Netflix and the modern streaming apps are just click a few times on your phone and you're away. Sorry DV8 I'm no expert on mobile sim plans but have a look at this section of Whirlpool. https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/114 PS the closest I ever came to being a DJ was playing the Hot August Night album at full volume !!

38 degrees forecast for Shepparton next Sunday I forget what the AFL hot weather rules are but could the match be shortened etc?

Round 1 team 2019
fascinating discussion... people seem to gloss over that the Toiges essentially played without a quality ruckman and they didn't do too badly at all over the last two seasons. A year ago the discussion was about whether ruckmen were relevant to the modern game and now we are looking at playing two.

GAME DAY - AFLX Scratchings Match
The AFL needs to get behind the concept by moving it into schools. (years 2-8 for starters). This requires rules, area co -ordinators etc. liaison with phys ed teachers etc Touch rugby is a very popular sport played by all ages and levels. No reason why this cannot be similar. Perhaps one of the three or four little league games played on the oval at half time in AFL matches could be AFLX.

AFLW: Rd 4 vs North Melbourne
Magpies getting well beaten by the Giants down in Morwell. Seems that the Magpies are having continuing difficulties scoring much more than ten points. Not that good for the overall comp

AFLW: Rd 4 vs North Melbourne
perhaps it needs to stay here a little while post game as well. Anyway a very hot day for it and not much shade at Casey. Will be tough conditions. Go Dees... a big match today

Round 1 team 2019
Can just imagine the number of "centre square" infringements we are going to have as all these players run various ways the moment the ball is bounced

Round 1 team 2019
A great post Skuit. Another thought is that it may well be Gawn who we look upon as the versatile second ruckman with Preuss doing the bulk of the heavy work. Sounds stupid when you have an AA ruck but it may just be the edge

snap... I just posted some similar thoughts on the Round 1 team thread

Round 1 team 2019
The momentum for the inclusion of Preuss is interesting. As pointed out in another thread when he has been played with Goldstein (an AA ruckman) in the past at North the results were not outstanding. Similarly a Pedersen/Gawn combination has rarely set the world on fire to the best of my recollection. I can see the logic of counter arguments in that it worked for the Eagles in the GF, the rule changes and giving Gawn a rest etc but the fact remains that in the long term the second ruckman needs to justify his position as a contributing player and not merely a relief ruckman. Another concern I have is that the inclusion of Preuss must to some extent come at the expense of one less midfielder or similar which begs the question of team balance against faster running teams. Could be an interesting conundrum.

Post Practice Match Discussion - Melbourne v Collingwood
you may be right and if so that is why the rule will probably change again at years end. It will lead to more congestion. The only way that congestion will be avoided is if the ruckman takes a relatively uncontrolled kick after gaining possession. In this day and age such a tactic is fraught with danger and therefore I can only see it being used when a side is in an attacking position. Just don't see this rule working for the overall benefit of the game.

Sideline Symbols To Revolutionise Game Day Coaching
Not sure that it's exactly revolutionary. The old positioning of the trainer's towel on the different chairs or similar has been around for years

Calling All MCC Members
why shouldn't we know the arrangements. One organisation, the MCG trust is a state government appointed body and the other is a community owned football club

AFLX Revamped
Far too nice about a failed concept...yes I think we can say that this one has failed before it even started. No magical cricket under lights a la the World Series Cricket for this monstrosity. As to expansion the AFL are involved in subsidised trade missions to China and a lesser extent India. The games are sidelines,
