  1. I smell self preservation...not just by Misson "In his presentation, Misson showed that the Demons had 39 players complete a total of 33 training sessions each in the pre-season prior to the successful 2018 season, when they made the finals for the first time in 12 years and stormed in to the preliminary final. This year, in Misson’s telling, there were just 25 players completing a total of 22 sessions each – a massive drop partly explained by high number of players who had post-season surgery. But the lack of training sessions was also due to the Demons, as a preliminary finalist, finishing 2018 later and the longer break that their players get under the collective bargaining agreement deal with the AFL Players' Association." https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/demons-early-warning-on-poor-start-to-2019-20190430-p51isa.html
  2. out of contract apparently at the end of the year https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pp-sydney-swans--jordan-dawson
  3. Need to look at those clubs who will need salary cap relief and trade hard for a player in the 10-15 range of that club's best 22. Off the top of my head both Sydney and GWS will be looking to create room. You would think Collingwood and Richmond would be in a similar boat.
  4. The gameplan has been suspect all along.Last year we lucked out on it and probably few of our opponents respected it thus allowing us to play on our own terms. This year as many have said the opposition have unpicked the gameplan and we are seeing the result.
  5. Not hard so far to pick all the winners for this round. In the main humdrum football. My maximum TV watch these days is 2-3 games and quite often it's only the second half/last quarter if the game is close. Strange thing us that with my kayo sub allowing me to watch all 9 games I probably watch less than when I was watching FTA.
  6. there was about 90 seconds left and Casey did take the ball forward but could not get clean possession. It was the right play
  7. O'Mac punched it through... probably the right thing according to the commentators
  8. lost it in the third quarter but a good performance by Casey
  9. 26.5 minutes gone one behind to the Tigers .. rushed
  10. Petty takes a timely mark in defence
  11. Hutchins marks 15 metres out on an angle and goals time on scores level
  12. good strong pack mark I believe
  13. Mark to Keilty 40 metres out and he nails it 6 points down
  14. A behind to the Tigers 12 points down.. still possible next goal important to say the least
  15. Mark and goal to Richmond back to 11 points down Rarely into the Tigers fifty this qua?rter
  16. 13 minutes into the last quarter... Casey continually attacking
  17. Hutchins wins a free kick deep in the pocket and it's marked by Buxton who goals !! 5 points down
  18. White goals 11 points down
  19. Chandler hits the post 17points down
  20. the first time I saw the Gabba after the renovation all those years ago I was amazed by the crowd numbers until someone remarked that the seat colouring was deliberately motleyed to make it appear as a crowd on television
  21. Tigers well on top... Casey just hanging in...... 18points down 3/4 time Demons having very little forward penetration .. one rushed behind the only score for Casey
  22. Casey Radio Link the commentators are very good https://www.3ser.org.au/
  23. Must say I always had my doubts and was very surprised by those who saw him as automatic best 22. Haven't quite given up on the miracle turn around
  24. you would get a second rounder for him on present form. The upside is way better. The challenge is for the coaching staff to get the best from him. They have failed to do so with every early round pick that we have had since Travis Johnstone. Different coaches and staff etc but same problem
