In the days of Ricky Barham flying down the wing and Tommy Hafey as their coach they were my second team. It only lasted until they won the 1990 premiership. I think that was the year my MFCSS started as I began to realise any team could have won that year and we fluffed it.

So who ended up being the travelling emergency? May make it but looks like there will only be around 7 MFC players available. And with Bombers on top of the VFL ladder it may not be the happiest of days.

A former MFC rookie.... good to see him still involved in the game. Reminds me of Paul Reiffel a former Australian cricketer (35 tests) who is now on the elite cricket umpire panel. Would be good to see a few more of those players who did not quite make it on the AFL umpiring panel.
