  1. A hard day at the office but the win was thoroughly deserved. Wicket didn't deteriorate ...perhaps because it was so cold on the first three days. A very good crowd for a fifth day.
  2. Not having much luck this session
  3. strange declaration... thought for a moment he was heading off for an Indian toilet break
  4. not sure these days
  5. Privileged to watch this innings by Smith. That temporary stand reminds me of one they built at one of the stadiums in Russia for the World Cup
  6. ok... 30 overs tonight 2 overs for change over we want to bowl 6 overs tonight 22 overs to score 90 runs...next 10 overs important but hell what do I know
  7. 300 lead now....after the early stumbles the equation begins
  8. still around 30 here. Thank heavens for fans
  9. It will be interesting to see if and when England go on the defensive. Another 20 runs without loss and I think the balance shifts
  10. yep.. should get to that this is a 3 hour session. The time/run equation is still telling me around 400... maybe 375
  11. wow 10 runs off the first over
  12. The Thommo Lillee days were big but that Ashes series marked the start of perhaps what was the longest period of sustained domination by any team in cricketing history. India have come close but at best they matched us, Hard to compare earlier eras as they played comparatively few tests.
  13. That was the start of Australia's dominance
  14. if Warner is going to hand over his wicket like that (double zeros this test) what can be expected of the remainder 200 is the target ... any idea of today's remaining overs/time
  15. We do the hard yards and then Zeus sends down the lightning bolts And there's another
  16. Riccardio ended up at 5.... might have been 4 with luck total shambles
  17. I can assure you..... we could
  18. LeClerc but it was farcical ..... all the drivers bar one mistimed their last run' Looking similar to the cricket
  19. So out but no reviews left. Thought these umpires were supposed to be better than the last lot
  20. Now now.. they were crucified by that angry Swiss tribunal. They were of course cleared by our independent local mob.
  21. Boy..this is reminiscent of us playing Richmond... stay with them and then they put the foot to the metal. 20 points plus up.... game over. Shame I was enjoying the contest
  22. Do you think they will enforce the follow on if given the opportunity? Hasn't been done for a long time but with the breaks in play yesterday the Australian bowlers will still be reasonably fresh and of course Paine will fear a repeat of the last test.
  23. yes I could have one Gb speed for A$50 but I'm not sure what I would do with it.
  24. did I mention the $40 a month 500Mb fibre internet connection here. Something I can only dream of with my ADSL 2 back in Melbourne
  25. No.. without DeGoey I just don't see them kicking enough goals. They were so much better last year with Cox as their focal point. Can Pendlebury and Sidebottom play blinders again this year as well.
