Can you do that. I recall there being rarely enforced rules about manipulating the draft. With the luck of the MFC we'd be the fist for them to be enforced against. I assume you cannot trade spots in the PSD. -
That Smith was offered and accepted a one year deal was interesting in this regard. The cynic in me suggests that the injury level is still "unclear." I had thought we signed KK on a one year deal but someone posted in recent weeks that it was in fact a three year deal. The cumulative risk factor of adding Bennell plus possibly Jamie Elliot is not sensible list management. Pity because most of us are at the stage that we would take any risk to get this club going somewhere.

Andrew Brayshaw was pick 2 and now has 50 odd games under his belt. Out of interest why do people say he wouldn't be worth pick 3? Thanks

Club should have given serious thought to cancelling this activity. Might have finally sent the right message.

half a million puts you in the top one third of players. Now that is not the top one third of 22 but the top one third of the list ... ie top 15. At age 25 players tend to maximise their value so 500k for either Tomlinson or Frost is not outrageous.

The only positive I saw in 2019 is that we got rid of Darwin. Hopefully 2020 sees no trip to any of Launceston, Hobart or Kardinia Park but methinks we will as usual see two out of three.

Hard to believe that a club can be in the GF nine years after its inception and of course been in the finals for three years before. Out of interest who is credited with their now brilliant policy of draft young and trade. Looking at GCS and where they are you have to give it to them. West Coast won within seven years of entering the comp and Adelaide within six. Trying to see some positives from an MFC perspective but staring at the GC priority pick and their Darwin zone it's hard to see.

the failure to correctly diagnose his foot injury which was found in days if not minutes by the Richmond medicos is sadly reflective of this club. It's never been explained. Would it have been different if earlier diagnosed. Who knows.. probably not but we all know it was a major fail.
