CHANGES: Rd 19 vs St. Kilda
Gawn is a better forward than Smith and Preuss. Preuss will dominate the ruck easily. You don't need a mobile ruckman every week. Just ask Richmond and Essendon who are doing fine with a lesser ruckman. Weideman perhaps but he hasn't shown anything much

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs St. Kilda
Smith is not the future ... we know exactly what he can deliver. Preuss to play 60-70% time as ruck with Gawn playing forward of the wing.

Pruess...VFL is his spot
Have said it a few times.. Preuss is number 1 ruck with Gawn playing havoc as a roving forward. ( I know he has to kick straight.) Not every week but in the right conditions.. interstate heat etc it's worth a try. The actual ruck role is massively overstated these days.. Preuss does that fine

Jordan Lewis is NOT cooked, give him 1 more season.
the delist list is a long one if you include the injury prone players such as AVB the Smiths Stretch etc. Keeping Lewis would not be a good idea but it shows how desperate we are

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
liked goals 3 and 6 and the mark would need to know a little more. We do have a number of small players at Casey already

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
reminds me of those 100 metre heats when the big boys just put on the gas when they need to and then ease back

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
3 goals to 1 behind business as usual for the final quarter 30 point loss coming up Reminds me of Melbourne of the 70's

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
ratio of scoring shots to inside 50's is surprisingly high for us. Pity we can't hit the side of a barn door.

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
Remember in recent seasons when we used to discuss which Melbourne team would turn up. Hard to fathom that by comparison those were the good times.

From Prelim To Wooden Spoon?
the two wins against fellow cellar dwellers were by less than a goal and achieved literally in the last minute. We definitely are playing like a bottom side.

Casey Demons v Geelong VFL - Round 16
Thought the umpiring for such a crowded game was excellent. Very few free kicks awarded that I noticed unlike the North v Bears game decided last night by the umpires.

From Prelim To Wooden Spoon?
sorry we are a fifty million dollar a year business.... you don't have learners in charge That's what being an assistant is for

2 wins, 14 losses
'87 marked 23 years out of the finals... it nearly killed this club.. (remember the merger) One finals series in fifteen years... join the dots The club is the environment in which the team performs and our club is lacking. Collingwood may have gone 32 years without a flag but they certainly didn't go 23 years or even 14 without a finals appearance.

Round 18 Non MFC Games
If North win... we are seriously bad
-
Round 18 Non MFC Games
We thrashed both of them at VFL level by more than 60 points but for reasons I cannot fathom very few of our VFL players take the next step.

Casey Demons v Geelong VFL - Round 16
was talking to one of the locals who mentioned that the rumour was that the contractor failed to properly drain the centre. May need some big money spent on it as you say. On the adjoining oval the Cranbourne team were playing. They probably had a bigger crowd.

Casey Demons v Geelong VFL - Round 16
It all started well as I strolled in the sunshine though the turnstiles to be greeted by John Denver's Take me Home Country Road over the public address. Went to take up my position on the Berwick Hill and almost blown away. The wind blew constantly towards to the Frankston end. As a game this one has to rank with the worst Australian rules exhibition I have watched. Picture 36 men in about one eighth of the ground having a maul. It rarely got much better. Geelong won it with their third quarter when their taller players allowed them to exit the Casey backline. Very hard to do against the wind. Casey players gave their all but hard to judge anyone's game. Smith and Keilty both took strong marks and goaled but forward 50 marks were a rarity. Would add one other point.. the Casey ground needs serious work on its drainage. Took a good walk around the arena at quarter time. In many parts you just sank into the turf. Not really AFL standard. Great to see Casey make it a close game.

Casey Demons v Geelong VFL - Round 16
A couple of missed scoring opportunities by the demons but they are being outplayed so far this quarter
-
Casey Demons v Geelong VFL - Round 16
A Geelong player had a kick on the run from around twenty. Looked to be sailing through the middle and barely scored a point. Although Casey didn't score they probably had more inside fifties than Geelong had in the first quarter. Jkh in everything as you would expect in agame like this. Casey players tapping and punching the ball which is good play in these conditions
