  1. Majak's rucking at Casey has been first class. If Gawn misses Majak in please
  2. 6. Brayshaw 5. Picket 4. Brown 3. Oliver 2.Spargo 1. Petty. (Picket kicked key goals and Brown's ground work was great. Apologies to Petracca and Langdon )
  3. game over... nice win but... still a nice win Defence fantastic
  4. Mitch Brown with 6 goals at Casey today. Weid... nothing great
  5. going to sleep 4 quarters would be nice
  6. Disappointing second half of this quarter
  7. need to finish the quarter... at least 2 goals more to nil
  8. Southport coming back with the first goal of the second half 53-34
  9. very very enjoyable 5 goals in 10 minutes
  10. Frost on Wright was a master stroke... Not
  11. would be nice to put a gap on a few more interstate teams. Don't particularly want to end up third with Brisbane and Freo at 1 and 2
  12. Bye bye Suns
  13. Was surprised by Weid's absence this week simply because they know what they get from TMac and it hasn't been great for nearly a year. Found the naming of Laurie on the extended bench interesting.
  14. Early night with a good book AFL really putting some snooze fests on Friday nights
  15. A Big Friday night game. Who would have thought it would be the "last chance saloon" for these two teams so early in the season. If GWS beat the Cats that is probably goodbye top 4 for the Great Ocean Road team The rest of the round is rather humdrum but perhaps the Crows upsetting the Blues could round out the weekend.
  16. I sense a slight undercurrent for tweaking the forward line in the not too distant future. T Mac and Weid have only a few more chances. Melksham isn't the answer. Could Laurie be the post bye utility type forward to deliver that extra element to what is probably our weakest area
  17. How strange only one poster mentioned RDB. I must confess I had forgotten his five (?) year stint. Other than the erratically brilliant Brent Crosswell I am struggling to recall players from that era
  18. Northey gave a club hope for that he deserves No 1 As much as I enjoyed the 2021 premiership the roller coaster ride of 1987 and 1988 will forever be with me. 2. Goodwin 3. Daniher 4. Balme 5. Not sure.... I'm a little ambivalent on the Roo's legacy... personally I'd give it to Yze and Choco because there is little doubt they provided some magic dust for Goodwin's success
  19. Watching the replay Tom Mac's game was a 5-6 whereas Weid's was 3-4. On the body of 2022 form they're lineball. Neither has really shone. Weid was performing against a youngster in the ruck last week
  20. Great outcome and a strong address by Pert. I still wonder how a backline strategy that had so many holes (he's out the back) became one of the best in this century but whatever... well done Simon. I have had the pleasure of observing Goody in the crowd at many VFL games. His interaction with those around him underscores his humility. I do hope that he gains further extensions simply because he deserves to be well rewarded financially for delivering what many of us thought we'd never see. Thanks Goody
  21. Haven't seen any reports on the results of the Council meeting last night. Referred to a committee perhaps 😂
  22. As you say, they're not leaving. The site is worth nothing if they walk away. Why would the council be concerned if they left. It's all limited use parkland and would be a lovely addition to the precinct. Always thought the request to knock down the historic stand was a no goer
  23. The forward line is NQR at present. Pity Melksham didn't display more on Saturday but I am beginning to despair of Weideman having a real impact. Two more weeks perhaps. The Casey game next week is against Southport at Casey starting 35 minutes before the AFL match. Not ideal for the emergencies getting some match time not to mention the medi sub
  24. Lions pulling away and that's without Daniher and Hipwood Very impressive
  25. Ony saw the last ten minutes but very impressed by Majak's ruck work
