NON-MFC: Round 9, 2022
Amazing that this isn't done. Is it a cost issue 4k has been around for a long time so you would think the prices would be reasonable

TEAMS: Rd 09 vs West Coast
The reality is that we rarely score heavily and our average winning margin is probably around 25 points. Brisbane and Freo are likely to have better % than us come season's end. Keepon winning is what we need to do. One loss and we slip to third. The games against Freo and Brisbane have almost become must wins

NON-MFC: Round 9, 2022
would be an interesting 10 year stat for all teams

Team Selection - is it ever based on matchups
We "gave" one of the Fidge brothers to the inaugural Brisbane Bears. Under the AFL rules each team had to release two players. Needless to say no one released any stars

TEAMS: Rd 09 vs West Coast
flashbacks to the loss to the Essendon reserves side in 2017 are probably unwarranted but a few of us still have them

You couldn't see the water he was sipping. Amazing how long it can last Wonder who/what determines who gets the business class seats

Team Selection - is it ever based on matchups
Last year there were several games where we were say 20 points ahead well into the last quarter. It surprised me that we did not use those opportunities to practice a few offensive and defensive two minute drills. Perhaps the game is so unpredictable that there is little use. On the thread title I'm not sure there is much quality depth at VFL level but the failures of that competition are so many that it can be hard to judge

NON-MFC: Round 9, 2022
One if not both of Freo and Brisbane losing would be nice Pies v Bulldogs could be a good game

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs West Coast
Majak's rucking at Casey has been first class. If Gawn misses Majak in please

Frost on Wright was a master stroke... Not
-
NON-MFC: Round 8, 2022
would be nice to put a gap on a few more interstate teams. Don't particularly want to end up third with Brisbane and Freo at 1 and 2

NON-MFC: Round 8, 2022
Bye bye Suns
-
TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
Was surprised by Weid's absence this week simply because they know what they get from TMac and it hasn't been great for nearly a year. Found the naming of Laurie on the extended bench interesting.

NON-MFC: Round 8, 2022
Early night with a good book AFL really putting some snooze fests on Friday nights
-
NON-MFC: Round 8, 2022
A Big Friday night game. Who would have thought it would be the "last chance saloon" for these two teams so early in the season. If GWS beat the Cats that is probably goodbye top 4 for the Great Ocean Road team The rest of the round is rather humdrum but perhaps the Crows upsetting the Blues could round out the weekend.

TEAMS: Rd 08 vs St. Kilda
I sense a slight undercurrent for tweaking the forward line in the not too distant future. T Mac and Weid have only a few more chances. Melksham isn't the answer. Could Laurie be the post bye utility type forward to deliver that extra element to what is probably our weakest area

The top 5 MFC coaches of your lifetime
How strange only one poster mentioned RDB. I must confess I had forgotten his five (?) year stint. Other than the erratically brilliant Brent Crosswell I am struggling to recall players from that era
