GWS without Hogan struggle. Saints have been good at shutting down the Giants corridor game

AFLW: Rd 02 vs St. Kilda
There's two very different styles. The North style is bruising to say the least. Will our style win through.. daytime games in good weather... it could be us

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Comes from not being managed and playing for another AA jacket

POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Like most MFC supporters this team is fading away Like a ghostly apparition immersed in a pandemic cloud... were we ever real

VFL Finals Wildcard Round
Preston has always had finance troubles in recent times. What is different for them that Coburg, Frankston etc avoid I wonder

AFL and Bookies
Strange thing football betting. Why does the AFL get money at all. The various outcomes on which wagers are placed are public knowledge. Bets are put on elections but neither politicians or the AEC take a cut. This is of course the AFL getting hopelessly entrenched with the gambling dollar just like the media. Enjoy it while you can AFL because like tobacco and alcohol advertising it will be gone within ten years

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Storm are playing for a possible top spot. Their membership is now much the same as ours at mid 40's Big game

2025 MRO & Tribunal
Four match ban... just announced The AFL arrived at the decision based on evidence from Adelaide, compelling medical submissions and its own integrity unit investigation. The AFL had initially proposed a five-match ban to Adelaide, giving Rankine and the Crows the opportunity to present a case for a reduced penalty. The Crows responded on Wednesday. The four-match ban indicates that the Crows’ efforts to mitigate the punishment were successful. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/rankine-given-four-match-ban-for-on-field-homophobic-slur-20250821-p5mond.html

NON-MFC: Round 24
Big week in the NRL with Raiders playing Penrith (1 v 5) and Storm playing the Bulldogs (2v3). F1 have another week of the summer break before the Dutch Grand Prix. Big few weeks coming up for Oscar.

2025 MRO & Tribunal
Possible but I suspect AFL is sending subliminal messages about not bringing down the whole house. Definitely something going on

Trade Targets
Saw a little of him in the Casey game. He was monstering Campbell in the quarter I watched
-
Farewell Judd McVee
I like it and it might save the dying art of ruckmen. Of course someone will abuse it and just use it as another interchange bench ( a five foot ruckman anyone). Everyone knows Max should have been managed post bye

Trade Targets
I was going to wonder about JUH but perhaps not....

NON-MFC: Round 23
Geelong pushing for second with the Tigers next week Not my ideal result

Hawks doing everything but kick goals We've stopped
-
CASEY: Rd 21 vs Box Hill Hawks
Who is the Hawthorn ruck. In the little I've seen he' monstering Campbell

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
That's the way the modern game is played. Suck the other team into their 40 metre zone and then rebound through the corridor to an open forward line. We have been predictable for so long and Goodwin's failure to change has resulted in an ageing team incapable of change
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
Always wondered why we got an in and under midfield player to coach a midfield in an era when it's all about fast outside ball movement
-
NON-MFC: Round 23
Yep... One quarter in... we're finished for the year it seems
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
well if you have zero gameplan changes and play the same players (whoever thought bringing back May for two irrelevant games a good idea) this is what you get. Going to cost in a drop in membership
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Hawthorn
There's the graveyard time of 3:40 and then there's 4:15 on a damp Saturday in August
-
NON-MFC: Round 23
Surprised we haven't as well TBH

This is embarrassing
The flip side to no insurance pay out is that the AFL and MFC could be liable. A lot of water to go under the bridge but that's the AFL nightmare scenario
