  1. They probably found out that we're loading
  2. No reason to play May or Lever in these dying weeks. Play TMac and Howes. Time to put Petty down back. Melksham kicking goals worries me as it simply underscores our dysfunctional forward line. There's no one at Casey playing his role so who replaces him? Personally I'd rest Gawn as well but perhaps another game or two to guarantee him AA if that is thought to be important. Gameplan and preparing the list for a strong first half of 2026 is what it's about
  3. We've hit the perfect goal to behind ratio 2:1
  4. Think we can put down the glasses but hopefully another few goals to come
  5. Long time since goals have numbered more than behinds
  6. Yeah but he's not the future Need some multiple goals from a few others. Nice to see Chin with two
  7. Would be pleasant to run away with a game. It's been a while Edit no we don't do that anymore
  8. Can we finish the season now. Zero enjoyment
  9. Hasn't kicked one for a while IIRC. Good to see
  10. I was enjoying seeing England being hit to all areas of the ground and then.... Oh well... Onto Kingston Town and Jamaican Reggae Can Konstas get past 20 !!
  11. Tonight it looked very similar including the kick to the forward pocket. I was surprised but I assume it was designed to stop the Collingwood rebound. well done by the Orange Suns
  12. The Age has just published an article about the reported death threat on Michael Voss that got the Collingwood supporter a five year ban. The text was: “I’d like to report 23 missing persons and pre-emptively report the murder of Michael Voss.” The article goes on to suggest that perhaps the AFL have over reacted. Sending a "bogus" message to a "report abuse" line is perhaps worthy of censure but a five year ban? Now it made sense. The Collingwood supporter was not a would-be criminal but a would-be comedian. It was not a death threat, but a nasty little attempted gag about Carlton’s 23 “missing” players and Voss’s presumably imminent sacking. So the question has to be asked: is a failed joke a reason to ban someone from attending a venue for five years? The AFL’s statement said that abuse is abuse “regardless of the intent”. The same applies to the message against abuse. Good intent is not sufficient. Spray it around too loosely or patronise the public with “learning moments”, and the message is wasted. There’s only one [censored] who benefits from that https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl-turned-a-lame-attempt-at-humour-into-a-death-threat-20250711-p5me5e.html
  13. When Brisbane play corridor..... Worry I thought Cameron was well past it but with corridor.... Take me Home
  14. No Formula 1 this weekend. Perhaps just as well after the heartbreak of last week. Tour de France is on but without a horse in the race it's a long watch. Test cricket in Jamaica is a day night Test with the evening session starting around 9:30am Melbourne time on Sunday Second placed Melbourne Storm play the Knights is Newcastle on Saturday afternoon. The AFL have another round in what seems like a never ending season. Casey (13th) play Werribee (14th) in a must win game in front of a zero crowd at Whitten Oval on Saturday night
  15. Not sure why people have this idea. If McVee can get to the Eagles free of charge it probably means they will pay him a premium over say Freo who would have to offer a draft pick. IMO bottom teams should avail themselves of this advantage. I hope he stays but the modern player owes little if anything to a club.
  16. The worrying thing about Casey in recent weeks is that they have failed miserably in implementing the gameplan. You can see that they are instructed to handball at risk but it's constantly coming unstuck. Low kicks are the norm but they're falling short with players not being able to make clean pick ups. I liken the team to a bulldozer rather than a rapier. It is the latter which the modern game demands. We do need a smaller quicker player in the forward area. Anyway we watch in hope. A few weeks back I thought I saw green shoots so who knows
  17. They must be listening to me.... The AFL is seriously considering introducing a secondary tournament that would run during the premiership season, award millions of dollars in prizemoney and could even offer the winning team a spot in the finals. https://www.theage.com.au/
  18. Like AFL like VFL Nothing to see here

  24. How about leaving a forward back for the rebound
  25. Depressing football by Casey
