Dear Melbourne Football Club, After reflecting on the disaster that was the game against Carlton on the weekend, I want to share some of my thoughts and feelings with you regarding season 2016. As a passionate member of the Demon Army, I was disgusted by the effort displayed by the team and coaches against the Blues that destroyed any chance of making finals for the first time in ten years. Sure it was frustrating to see such a pitiful performance similar to the one against Essendon in Round Two and to see the lack of desire from a team that had dominated West Coast and beaten Brisbane, Hawthorn, and Port Adelaide in the space of four weeks. Was the group getting ahead of themselves once again which is something that we as a club have been guilty of many times over the last number of years? If so, we had no right to based on performances that had delivered only, 2, 4, 7 and ten wins over the last four seasons. A little optimistic don’t you think?
