The Premiership Window Closing?
Officially closed. Too many confirmed and unconfirmed issues that take up too much energy and focus on the goal at hand and I'd even say the hunger full stop is not the same.

Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup
It makes so much sense to get a half forward with grunt and connect. We don't have one of those with BOTH attributes. Also, Langdon has been nothing like his pre-rib injury form, which might be the kick in the pants he needs. Anyone can run all day but you need to be damaging as well.

Watch for round seven Next year!

Farewell James Harmes
Move him on if he wants to go. Get in a pick and use that for someone else who is younger or can kick in the draft.

Is our time at the top done?
What was the bake he gave the team after the game? I haven't read anything about it here so any info would be great. Mad Monday cancelled? Interesting...

Goody - Genius or insane?
We could have been sucked in like Port Adelaide in giving another contract before the finals. I am seriously concerned about what the 'learnings' will be if we lose tonight. Does Goody learn anything?

What They are Saying at Princes Park - SF
Love how they said it was a Dead rubber after the loss. Tipping it wouldn't have been if they had won.

If anyone has a spare MCC concession ticket, let me know.

TICKETING: SF vs Carlton
MCC visitor tickets not even an option. Pathetic system for a dad to take his daughter to the game.

PODCAST: QF Preview vs Collingwood
I just dropped our preview on our podcast on YouTube and I made sure to look the last five weeks, not the entire year form line. Outside of the Carlton loss (win) we have been awesome over this period where they have only been chugging along. Check it out (only eight minutes total) and if you like it, give a subscribe (they're free)!

My 3 word player analysis V Sydney Swans
Turner - please stop fumbling. I will give him the leighway of a hotly contested game to walk into. Chandler has nothing to worry about. No-one is taking his spot, especially Spargo.

The Run Home
I did notice that Carlton always went back to go forward which gave them a little extra time to escape the contest. The other was Weitering was all by himself during the first quarter and in wet conditions the dump kick is always going to happen. Why we didn't even up the contest is beyond me. Wet footy is completely different to day. It is about gaining territory and not over handling the footy, two things we have not been able to master.

Liam Henry
I am jealous of how they extract the best out of every player on the ground. You know that every player on the ground will contribute and make an impact, especially with their bottom six. There is still the 'we can tell in the first five minutes if they are on' mindset with our group that I don't see with Collingwood. They are on every week. I've also said before that the lack of creativity, flair and risk from the coaching department is going to cost us in the end. We might have a team of Mercs but they are being driven by a 50-year-old in second gear for safety and refuses to open it up and see its true performance. Until this risk-averse gameplan changes, we are only delaying the inevitable.

Targets 2023
If BBB, T-Mac, Tomlinson and Hibbard all go that frees up a bit of cash.

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Walyalup
Harmes in to tag Serong Kozzie stay inside 50 with the instruction to be a BBB feet all game Brayshaw is back to the wing Sparrow all game on the ball Smith to tag Schutlz (always gets away from us) Petracca stay perm HF. Get a defensive first-minded player starting in the middle. Have to do with the form of Darcy and Jackson. Coaching panel to try something different ONCE!

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Jacob Grant from the Dandenong Stingrays is one I like. 191cm utility, raw, and loves the contest. Brother was training at Casey last season.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs West Coast
McVee out? Really? Did you see his run and delivery out the backline? Sure he made a couple of mistakes but he is a massive upgrade on Hunt. Triple B will need a rest and Pickett in. Simples. West Coast is cooked after the weekend injuries and the bigger Optus Stadium needs us to have a running team. We will outrun them and it will be a shellacking! But..... anyone who is not 90% (no-one is ever 100%) must not be risked. We saw what happened to Gawn last year.
