Has Goodwin being on any of the footy shows this year? That’s how relevant he is!!! On the Couch should get him on and ask the hard questions.

Sadly it will be another loss for the MFC. I have watched them closely and a losing culture has set in. Goodwin refuses to change and he will be better served to just let the team free up and play with freedom over next 3 weeks. Collingwood have all to play for, our players are drowning in process and no confidence. There will be players offloaded in the off season and those who remain will have the hardest pre season in recent history. Mahoney and Goodwin on their last chance to get it right. Don’t stuff around, if we have injury prone players then move them on. We need fit players on our list and need to bring in a power forward and speed in the middle.

For the first time in 40 years I will not renew my membership before Xmas. I will wait until round 6 next year. Enough is enough. The club has done this and totally responsible for sucking the loyalty out of me. If I see substantial reason to renew I will do it after round 6. Happy to give up a season seat., but sure plenty will be available still come round 6.

Injuries aside, because all teams have injuries. It’s culture, it’s soft culture that has not been fixed. It’s a leadership issue on and off field. I firmly believe Gawn is the most visible leader we have got on a list of 42. He is working his guts out every week and not getting support from the coaches in their pig headed approach to game style. Jones and Viney not cutting the mustard with in game leadership. In a seriously underperforming team, Goodwin gives them cuddles and changes nothing. Our culture is putrid and until this is forced upon Goodwin to change the culture and leadership, the club will still be laughing stock. Get the leadership group right. We need a Hodge or Selwood type. Our mob just don’t get leadership right. That is the MFC problem.

Get either Goodwin Pert or the President on the couch. Put hard questions to them and demand frank answers. This club just automatically think their membership base will renew next year. I don’t think so!! I wait for the apologists, however DO not underestimate the anger at this club. There are more than enough supporters that have had enough of their winter weekends ruined. Close the doors so we can all just live without this mongrel of a club.

You sum up my feelings perfectly. Care factor is not there. Goodwin needs to grab this group by the throat and show he means business. The pre season Camp no show now looms much larger for me. The softness of this club is the most relevant point in most discussions.

I’ve never ever seen any of our leaders crack it at the group either onfield or post game losses in the rooms!!! They all just trudge off with a feeling of defeatist world. It’s time folks this club find a leader who grabs the group by the scruff of the neck and leads!!!

Leadership, leadership and leadership!!! Apart from Gawn, onfield this club has lacked leadership for far too long. Get a leader who has the killer instinct like Selwood. Selwood Hates losing with a passion. Name a player on our list who fits this!!!

I am at a total loss. Nearly a total different team than the one coached by Neeld. New coach, new players etc etc, however here we are as a club with same damn behaviours. Tell me how does this happen?

Your summary is spot on! The status quo going into pre season with same faces in football department cannot be allowed. I want Pert and the board to insist on getting in the best possible people in football and medical to get this mess sorted out. As for players they just need to realise their responsibility to this organisation and get their heads and body right.

All those who say next year we will be ok, I admire your enthusiasm, but for the rest of us it is totally unacceptable this club finds itself in after Jackson & Roos rebuilt for 3 years. We have high draft picks who continually misfire and for unknown reasons do not play to their potential. This must be down to the whole football department. Skills, playing style and especially attitude of the playing group just stinks. Apologies to Gawn who plays his heart out every week. Supporters must be devastated and above all damn angry. My interest in AFL is just spluttering because of this club.

Brayshaw seems lost. I would give him one more year to get super fit. He is a far better player than what he is showing. Symptom of MFC disease, as someone said earlier, the list need a kick up the clacker in the off season.

As I said in previous posts. One hell of a pre season required with a clean out of players such as ANB. Winning culture required by every damn player next year. 2020 boom or bust for this club. Supporters totally fatigued with losing culture and injury mess. One more year like this and it is difficult to see this club keeping its supporter base. Financially it will go backwards. Goodwin has one year to turn it around, if not rebuild again, and this time supporters will not be as kind.

When is Goodwin going to stop Dunkley???? Do something Goodwin.

Tommy speaks very well. In this aspect alone he is much more articulate than both our Captains. I struggle to make sense of what Viney says when being interviewed. Just my take.

Yes it’s a win, but I have no idea where this club is going. When you look how strong the top clubs are, we are bog ordinary. A premiership looks like it’s another generation away. I wish we had the players and culture of top teams.

Smith is sadly injury prone. Both Wagners named ? our depth is laughable. Lock it in, Carlton will touch us up. But according to Goody we are wanting to improve every week! I say get players who hate to lose. This group seem to comfortable and are hugged too much.

Carlton will hand our backside to us on a plate. They have an interim coach who has them up and about. We have our bums dragging on the ground with same old platitudes from our coach who seems to be struggling. I like Goody, however he cannot get our list performing to their best. It’s a worry, and a loss this week will intensify the gloom around the MFC!! Has a football club at AFL level ever been as predictable as the MFC?
