If nothing is done about leadership during the off season the club can go begging for membership. Totally bored with same old messages coming out of this club. Apologies to Peter Jackson. Jacko was no nonsense and his departure cannot be underestimated. We have too many triehards on the list that never live up to expectations, coaching seems stuck in a boring mire. Our leadership group needs inspiration, Jones and Viney are good ordinary leaders but that’s it. FFS MFC inspire your supporters, get some grunt and get the club out of boredom land!!!

Personally I am well over this club and it’s talk talk talk!!! Our leadership is rubbish and overdue for change. Just put Gawn as Captain and May VC. The others don’t and seem incapable of consistent leadership. Make the hard decisions and do something so us supporters can see progress. Had a gutful of the line “we took a step backwards this week”. FFS! Any chance of winning 2 in a row?

Listening to Jones on Tele last night, he sounds determined to stay on. Fair enough, however the club must must have a look at Captaincy for next year. Viney seems one dimensional and could do with a full pre season without having to worry about the burden of being Captain. Gawn is carrying this team on his back and must be considered. Jones has carried the team for years and deserves to get to his 300. Let’s refresh totally in 2020. due to injuries the club is gifting so many B graders a game.

I disagree with you on years of development. Many of our players have had 3 years under Roos, and 3 under Goodwin. That’s 6 years of development, we must stop using this as an excuse. Hawthorn and Geelong have created a winning culture regardless of list. The MFC still has a losing culture. Our promotional photo next year should be a photo of Nathan Jones trudging off the ground with his head down! I’ve lost count how many of these photos appear in the press over the last 12 years! It’s the story of Nathan’s career and emblematic of the MFC!

Only getting a game because of injuries. Not AFL standard much like a lot of players on this list. Both him and his brother should be in the VFL.

Oh my buddha!! “End on a high”. You made some good points, however this clubs reputation is still rubbish! All other teams in the AFL know that when they play Melbourne, it is a gettable game. The MFC is not respected in the competition and as such Adelaide knew they could get us with pressure. It is the life story of this club.

Just told the club we are not prepared to pay membership again until there is hope. Serious this time, cannot trust how this club is managed on and off the field. How many times does a supporter want to watch Nathan Jones trudge off the field with his head down? Endless years of misery and sides know they can always get us because we are a weak team that folds. 40 years, 40 damn years as a member.

Today is the day I stop caring. Totally fed up! the club has sucked all the energy out of me and they do not deserve the loyalty of people who have stuck thick for decades. What a waste of membership for decades! see yaa!!

This subject makes my gut churn. Every year we see state and Federal govts Hands out money to clubs to build or enhance facilities. The latest promise is to Geelong again! What the hell is going on at MFC? Geez this is infuriating, always the lost and poor club. I will be long gone before our mob does something on this front. Why are the MFC so inept!!!

Get on the bike MFC! This has been a problem for years. Pert needs to find the best in the business to fix and get our list fit! AND stay fit!

I reckon Max is doing all he can! 2 time AA for this club and should get respect. As for the club, well it’s all been said a million times. There is not any answer until the list is capable, hungry enough and culturally tough enough to please supporters. One of the saddest tales in AFL history.

Nate Jones is simply a legend of the MFC. Is this his final season? I am so disappointed for him that finals and beyond now look forlorn. In a different team he may have made AA and have a flag medallion. He has stuck fat through the worst period in our history, however the workhorse is banged up and his days look numbered as a player. That’s just my observation, I hope I am wrong. This club and current group of players have not done him any favours this year. He deserves much better.

Diabolical! The handling of this team pre season is a disgrace! As a paid up member I am sick of mismanagement of player injuries and fitness. Keep throwing money at the club that is giving nothing in return. The club is not accountable to its supporters. Stuff them!!!

I got the email with video of SG talking to members. It smacked of desperation and SG looked very uncomfortable as it was post match. This club has fallen from 4th to bottom 2 in the space of 6 games. There is more to this than the club is talking about.
