Whilst it’s great to see our team in this position, as long suffering supporters Covid has dudded us. After years of attending games in all conditions, watching us get belted week in week out, we now are deprived of attending games to watch the team rise to the top. Watching on television is just not the same, no atmosphere, can’t join in the song with supporters, and walk away from the G bouncing along. It’s so sad that as supporters of the club that has waited more than 50 years we are dudded to totally soak up that winning feeling.

It is rare to be able to sit down and watch this mob without throwing a brick at the TV

I know it’s not the clubs fault all this Covid manure however, the Victorian government can go f….k itself. I’m so over this nonsense of no football games and more money wasted.

Goodwin is stubborn. He must start looking at bringing in some fresh players. Jackson looks cooked along with some others. It’s time to change it up a bit.

It’s about time and long overdue that the AFL and State Government come up with a better plan for allowing crowds to the football. Apart from killing the game for spectators the long term effect for clubs is horrendous. they can improve the track and tracing, separate the crowds at games and do a lot more instead of clubs playing in front of nobody. I’ve made it to two games in two years due to this and frankly they are in fairy land if they think this is not going to continue next year and beyond. must be better ways of separating crowds before and when they leave the stadium. I would even go as far as asking patrons to get a Covid test before they can attend, and also letting fully vaccinated people attend. Anything is better than the current nonsense.

If I was a defender at Melbourne, I would be getting totally fed up with defending hard only to see our forwards miss easy shots. It must be a real issue at times within a team.

Goal kicking again! We have had a very poor month. the coaching group have had a poor month. This time of the year we should be cherry ripe leading into finals, but we are the worst performing group in the top 4. The coaching group seem incapable of sorting out our forward line issues and goal accuracy.
