  1. He still is a shizen kick for goal though and we are likely going to need to kick straight over the next month or so.
  2. I always knew he had a footy brain a cut above the team average but figured he had no other assets. Then he kicked a goal in the finals against the Hawks a few years back..after the first quarter siren and right on his limit ( which then was 35 to 40 metres) and I started to wonder what he could become. It took a while but I'm a fan even if he smiles even less than TMac
  3. Yes it was a wry observation in response to someone's equally wry p155take. TMac doesn't handle injury well and Weed shouldn't replace him if he's injured. I have no updates on my ex's relationship status in a cottage outside Ballarat but she was happily solo when she visited on mother's day. Carry on..
  4. Tom isn't great at playing injured. Better than Wattsy but not by much. i can't remember who said Weid must be sleeping with my wife but a heads up ...it's actually my ex and she told me that he's been depressed since Tom started kicking goals and holding marks but that he was a little more chirpy on Saturday night. Maybe he votes Labor ?
  5. Why not..are they doing this now on purpose?
  6. We only need to lose one in the last few weeks....better get a wake up call and a forward line before that
  7. Assuming it's big goals no more behinds.. If the kicking isn't a problem it's a defeat waiting to happen when we meet a good team
  8. His smile when he kicked a goal was worth the price of admission...admittably as a 50 year MCC member that's only 10 bucks! (smile)
  9. TMacs lead, mark and goal in the second quarter was what a good leading forward does. Certainty and authority. Weideman doesn't have it.
  10. Guesstimates rule
  11. I reckon structure up forward is exactly what we want right now, not a bloke who can't catch the ball and goes missing when he doesn't get in the way
  12. After seeing both in the team with BBB and Fritta why are we even talking about it? Obviously Tom but next year Tom is likely gone so then it's Weid. Meanwhile we have depth inc Van Rooyen
  13. I think the view on taking May's marking strength away with a rigid one on one approach makes sense but you'd need another "Fritsch like" marking forward and Charlie Cameron around the contest. Or you could just hope the Dee's have an " off " day when you play them...especially if it's the Prelim.
  14. If Tom doesn't get a guernsey this week he may as well apply for the Giants coaching job. He probably needs to kick five and hit Weid lace out on the chest( he'll spill them ) to hold his spot
  15. I said footy not tall forward...I reckon you are correct about BBB. I used to hate him at North..big fan now
  16. Yep great system... that was on the cards when football coaches came out and insisted that was best practise for the minority of the population who follow AFL I don't recall Brett Sutton's advice and clearly a November election is irrelevant as a consideration.
  17. All this analyses of Weideman makes it seem as if Lloyd doesn't know he's been in and out of the team for the last five or so years but can't come good.. He's a leading marking forward who can't catch the ball He's a good kick He looks as dopey as Mathew Lloyd but isnt as talented which is a pity but still maybe the Hawks have long memories about playing against him and will be a little worried. BBB plays like Mr Squiggle but is better at footy. Tom is the best of the three but can't keep his form over a full season and he's had nearly 200 games to prove it
  18. It's called blazing away without any poise.
  19. I' ll give him that one
  20. I am waiting for someone to say he's got 2 goals so he's one of our best
  21. Well he fell over nicely just then and hit a goal for it. He's good for the season now I reckon
  22. No no no The coach knows what's he's doing..Weid just needs a season of consecutive games to gain confidence
