  1. Only to be embarrassed next week. Which do you fancy most?
  2. TMac is a game killer and they have hom next season as well! Takes the biggest defender..hasn't been true for seasons, now he just gets in the way and crushes our hopes. Faark!
  3. Let's face it..as mecurial as his skills are Kossi is an [censored].
  4. Great..that sounds cool as..especially Nibbler. I was only responding to the "Voss...loss" post/ comment
  5. That is the mystery that confounds us all ...only opposition sides are happy for the answer not to be revealed. " Insane" is a cop out option..stubborn and unimaginatively inflexible or genius is the more relevant question regards the coach. I think the footy IQ is pretty clear over a three year sample. But you can't question their determination ...stubborn and inflexible though it may be@
  6. Great..that sounds cool as..especially Nibbler...and name checking Hibbert!!( go figure that one????) I was only responding to the "Voss...loss" post/ comment
  7. Goodwin won't win ...again ( blues banner) Do better to concentrate on the opposition 22 imo
  8. Seriously?
  9. Favourites? Really?
  10. They lack big bodies with good hands
  11. Yeah I thought of those things...I didn't suggest he'd thought through " 3" clearly and I only suggest that it was his genuine concern that got him there when he did. Personally I'm guessing it was and I also agree he should have made an "appointment". I reckon the word would have got out either way and in any case apparently they share an interest in wine... So flowers for the wife and wine for the player. It's actually an attempt at good manners. I can also understand why the Demons present were peesed of at the fact there is more commentary depending and exonerating him than anything else.
  12. There are 3 levels of care / apology 1 text ...this like Carey saying if she was upset then I apologise 2 make a phone call ..which helps if you want to get a sense of what to defend at the tribunal ( probably on the advice from the Club) 3 Front up in person ....no matter how uncomfortable it might be,because you understand it could've been you and you feel sorry another player has been badly hurt
  13. Pretty sure it's Robbos lack of reflective intelligence( " reflective" may well be contestable )
  14. The subtext there is that he hasn't been trying.!! FMD!
  15. I think Whately summed it up pretty well on 360,though it was too subtle for his stupid co anchor to hear. The umpire immediately both reported Maynard and gave a free kick down field; ergo it was NOT a footy act becsuse it transgressed the rules and needed to be examined by the Tibunal. There is no clear legislation around " smothering ", unlike tackling and bumping. Both of those have been clarified over the last 2 (?) seasons and players have adjusted the way they play. Whether or not Maynard is suspended, or an inevitable appeal is successful ,clarification relating to smothers will be in place next season. Sometimes it seems that Gerard actually looks ,thinks and draws conclusions. You could have a reasonable discussion with him I reckon Can we close this thread now please?
  16. How did Cox break Cripps ribs? Did Maynard help him ?
  17. But what about the umpires or the AFL?
  18. Quick who can I blame?
  19. According to all precedence this and last season it's careless ,severe and high( head). Ticks those boxes ..its actually pretty straightforward even if we can accept, (easily enough) ,,that he didn't expect to concusss or even hurt Brayshaw, merely smother his kick. The penalty is set in the book...appeals come after that so he can get off or maybe just one week The Pies were smothering lazy kicks all night
  20. Guys it's really not difficult He ticks boxes there is a penalty applied. It's written down in the rules Careless( probably), intentional ( probably not)high, severe impact( definitely) After that the appeal and this new born " football action" fantasy shirtfronts the process of the last two(?) seasons regarding the sacrosanct nature of the noggin. Meanwhile the Dee's have more relevant matters to attend to
  21. In theory Taking the biggest defender is traditionally the argument justifying TMac BBB has shown that at best he has half a game in him and, in line with the history of forward entries ,and as recently as last thursday, the mids don't kick to forwards presenting on a lead....which is Browns natural way of playing . But I accept you were just observing that he looked ok. Surely Smith ,Langdon and Grundy in some last gasp combination are more realistic choices ,albeit pretty ordinary. Max stays behind the ball
  22. Tell me you're joking about BBB...pleeease. A forward line built around TMac and BBB is ...........difficult to justify
  23. What is disturbing is that's actually not news to anyone who actually watches the way they play...even when they are up and running. Taking a shot at Brayshaws choice of kick is ignoring the fact its not a one off .
  24. I don't dispute that his injury was both reportable or a factor in the loss. I just think its more relevant to say that the 7 points rather suggests the Pies arnt flag favourites. And also that given the Dee's played "spooked " for one quarter,"scrambled" for the next two, then choked in the last, they are hardly likely to take their dysfunctional and injury riddled front half to a rematch this season. It's a pitythough, because knocking both Collingwood and Carlton out in one series would be a September for the ages
  25. So you are saying that 2 sessions are enough to top up on thd skills ,systems and available players they have had 2 seasons to get right and clearly you didn't watch either Brisbane or GWS yesterday. Anyway perhaps they might try and beat Carlton first. Geez there's one eyed and there's denial
