The real question put earlier shouldn't have been "genius or insane "; rather it might have been " stubborn or unaware"

It's a tried and true technique but Goody seems to have tweaked the way it works to disguise it
  3. It took Scott a long time to change the Geelong game and they had footy IQ superstars in their team. Can we wait 10 years for the penny to drop?
  4. Putting some pressure on the automatic selection of Kossi might help him develop... It's been a while and the only thing that's changed is he's put on weight so he can bump.

Tanking for an earlier draft pick

Yeah there's that as well and certainly NSW and Qld TV numbers will be at least 75% of the Matildas numbers(with about a similar 45% who have any idea at all what's happening) I guess I really meant the Hun and it's leading [censored] Robbo

TMac couldn't actually get off the ground, that was the problem;he was playing in rehab . At least they let Grundy do his rehab in the VFL.."Horse "says thanks very much Simon !

All I want to hear soon is that( given they cant get rid of him now) they are going through the line coaches like a hurricane, reviewing Goodwins year, getting someone to assist/ monitor him. Then...paying out injured forwards and using draft picks for a strong marking target up forward and speed and skill add ons to the list It's not difficult I don't even care if Goodwin pays someone to do his pressers so he can concentrate on his learnings

A Brisbane / GWS..Grand Final would be everything the AFL DONT want and a celebration for most of the majority of the AFL's supporter base Hilarious
  10. " getting " left behind?..anyone who stopped being silly and watched the Pies LAST season saw MFC was already left behind. There was a learning there unless you had remedial reading skills

Clarrie epitomises everything that is both good and bad about the "Melbourne way"

There's no doubt they give it a red hot go..but sans poise, skill and elite decisions. That's more than needing one key forward.

Ironically because three of them should retire even if they have to be paid out. And we don't actually know how good JVR might become, nor Petty on a sample of 3 or 4 games forward.

Smith is the " old" Melksham in disguise Group think rules the roost.

I saw a stat that says they lost the last 4 finals

No one is saying that they dont try hard Outdated inflexible game plan Slow , limited kicking skills and footy IQ. Injuries don't help unless you adjust on the fly. Same story for seasons . Where would they finish without Max and May. Spargo is slow, too small and cant kick over 40 metres ;but he has footy IQ, so he gets a game even though he might not in a genuinely good side Clarrie is the archetypal MFC player..committed, sees ball gets it, then essentially wastes it.

He's been all class . Big pay packet and getting back in the game, ready for a new finals campaign with a well coached Club Win win for him

Grundy would have been better than TMac last night..he could have come on fresh at 3/4 time and they likely would have won it

The "learning" might be to change the coach
  20. IRW replied to dee-tox's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Kossi has shown no sign of learning..if anything the opposite. They have a Petty for defence His name is Petty they need two big bodies forward who can run, compete, mark and kick for goals ( AFL basics) JVR isnt actually a tall foward btw
