Cool light of day
No one is saying that they dont try hard Outdated inflexible game plan Slow , limited kicking skills and footy IQ. Injuries don't help unless you adjust on the fly. Same story for seasons . Where would they finish without Max and May. Spargo is slow, too small and cant kick over 40 metres ;but he has footy IQ, so he gets a game even though he might not in a genuinely good side Clarrie is the archetypal MFC player..committed, sees ball gets it, then essentially wastes it.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
He's been all class . Big pay packet and getting back in the game, ready for a new finals campaign with a well coached Club Win win for him

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Grundy would have been better than TMac last night..he could have come on fresh at 3/4 time and they likely would have won it

The "learning" might be to change the coach

Goody - Genius or insane?
That is the mystery that confounds us all ...only opposition sides are happy for the answer not to be revealed. " Insane" is a cop out option..stubborn and unimaginatively inflexible or genius is the more relevant question regards the coach. I think the footy IQ is pretty clear over a three year sample. But you can't question their determination ...stubborn and inflexible though it may be@

Maynard must get at least four weeks
Yeah I thought of those things...I didn't suggest he'd thought through " 3" clearly and I only suggest that it was his genuine concern that got him there when he did. Personally I'm guessing it was and I also agree he should have made an "appointment". I reckon the word would have got out either way and in any case apparently they share an interest in wine... So flowers for the wife and wine for the player. It's actually an attempt at good manners. I can also understand why the Demons present were peesed of at the fact there is more commentary depending and exonerating him than anything else.

Maynard must get at least four weeks
There are 3 levels of care / apology 1 text ...this like Carey saying if she was upset then I apologise 2 make a phone call ..which helps if you want to get a sense of what to defend at the tribunal ( probably on the advice from the Club) 3 Front up in person ....no matter how uncomfortable it might be,because you understand it could've been you and you feel sorry another player has been badly hurt

Maynard must get at least four weeks
Pretty sure it's Robbos lack of reflective intelligence( " reflective" may well be contestable )

Injury Cloud over Max & Clarry
The subtext there is that he hasn't been trying.!! FMD!

Maynard must get at least four weeks
I think Whately summed it up pretty well on 360,though it was too subtle for his stupid co anchor to hear. The umpire immediately both reported Maynard and gave a free kick down field; ergo it was NOT a footy act becsuse it transgressed the rules and needed to be examined by the Tibunal. There is no clear legislation around " smothering ", unlike tackling and bumping. Both of those have been clarified over the last 2 (?) seasons and players have adjusted the way they play. Whether or not Maynard is suspended, or an inevitable appeal is successful ,clarification relating to smothers will be in place next season. Sometimes it seems that Gerard actually looks ,thinks and draws conclusions. You could have a reasonable discussion with him I reckon Can we close this thread now please?
