  1. I actually agree with you on most points. What i was syaing was that both Watts' and Miller's form has been equally poor the last 2 games but given Watts is the future and Miller is not, I would hope that either Watts would be given more opportunity to prove himself, or both of them would be banished for their poor performances. One other thing is im not sure just how good Millers 5 goal game actually was? It was good, but not dominant. I thought we were all in agreeance that a player of his experience should be displaying that form on a regular basis, not just once in a season. He has now had 130 games to show consistency and hasnt been able to do it.
  2. Its crazy i know. What hope are the coaching staff holding on to?! I could stomach Watts going out provided Miller was duely ommitted for his atrocious form, but if Watts goes and he stays i wont be pleased.
  3. I reckon youre on the money, alhtough Bennell may be due for a spell ahead of Watts. Hes been pretty poor for 2 weeks.
  4. Keep hoping to read that Strauss has an excellent game, but it never happens. I wonder how the coaches are viewing his progress?
  5. Best Post ive ever read on this site hands down. Couldnt have said it better. out: Miller, Watts, bennell/Jetta, Jones (inj), Mcdonald(inj) in: Dunn, McKenzie, Strauss, Wanna/Maric, Frawley Miller and Watts (unfortunately) just cant play this week going by last fortnights efforts so we may have to go small in the fwd line with Dunn playing deeper as well. Strauss and Wanna have only been serviceable i know, but we cant keep playing guys in the seniors who have 0 impact week in week out.
  6. Rivers named ahead of Cheney? What a joke! How must he feel seeing Rivers absolutely stink in the seniors while he dominates at Casey.
  7. Reasonable performance all things considered, other than a few individuals. Just too loose at times, really frustrating.
  8. That grinding monotone is hard to take. Her pronunciation of Gysberts in the first qtr was ridiculous. Was it Gytseb?
  9. sorry dude you cant win this argument today, hes been outright shocking in every respect.
  10. Rivers = FAIL
  11. recognisable to melbourne supporters, but i can tell you now it means nothing to outsiders. I had a few friends who have seen my membership stickers ask why the hell we had Michael Jordan sillouettes in our membership stickers.
  12. If we had a banner or flag incorporated on the emblem like the ones above, what should it say?? One of Norm Smiths quotes would be appropriate.
  13. The side has a real "last year" look about it with the gun kids out. Looking forward to seeing Gysberts play though.
  14. IF, IF i could pick those 7 numbers i will win tattslotto.......
  15. rubbish charge, there was no head contact other than a trailing arm. Screw you AFL.
  16. I agree with this, it was the underdone blokes running out of legs that probaly hurt us most (throw Watts into that list). However i reckon there was some mental issues involved in that comeback, the fear of failure in a close game again. I think actually holding on for the win will be invaluable in similar situations in the future (at least i hope so).
  17. Exactly! Not the first time hes had a good game. Problem is he follows it up with 10 rubbish ones.
  18. Morton - hesitant, uncomposed, slow Rivers - Being good at one percenters in only part of being a good player. Watts - Better than Natinui Trengove - good in clinches Whole team - Too loose Jamar - taps to opposition as much as our boys
  19. While i understand we have to cut him some slack being his first game in 10 weeks, I was extremely concerned by his continuous uncertainty and hesitance in decision making, which hasn't seemed to improve since his first game. Perfect example was the last minute when he got caught holding the ball on the 50 metre line after having more than enough time to dispose of the ball in some fashion. It nearly cost us the game. I actually worry about his size sometimes. He is almost too big for a midfielder now yet he doesn't have the pace or marking ability to be a key position player.
  20. This Wannaemerri selection could really come back to bite us. We are basically a player down. Ive had a gut full of umpires ruining my football experience. Miller and watts deep forward was working so why is miller now roaming the half back line Bailey????
  21. The quicker that players like Miller are off the list the better so that we dont have to continue to waste time rewarding his good VFL form with call ups to the seniors, only for him to fail misersably at senior level time and time again. I think its clear to most people he will not be resolving his deficiencies at this point in his career. Never been a better example of a list clogger.
  22. We said the same thing about Blease last year and look how it has turned out. Cant wait to see LJ back.
  23. He actually only took 2 contested marks and 4 uncontested. Checked the stats. Did you not notice how easily he was beaten on the lead and in one on ones? At least 4 goals were scored against him.
  24. Yes Garland was well beaten, but he has a few credits in the bank after some promising performances of late. Rivers on the other hand has not shown anything for quite a while and has been constantly beaten in one out contests and as has been mentioned in many posts above he clearly lacks many of the attributes required to improve his performance.
