  1. Anyone who couldnt see Watts' class and potential today has rocks in their head. He is only at about 30% of what he will become yet he still looked the goods to me.
  2. Just when i thought it couldnt get any worse than last week, they out did themselves this week. Absolutely atrocious. I had no idea what half of West Coasts free were for and we didnt even get the blatant frees that you would normally get on a bad day.
  3. 100% agree, spot on.
  4. out: Rivers, Johnson, Batram, Jones, bruce (hammy) In: Macdonald, Gysberts, Cheney, Morton, Wana Nothing needs to be said about Johnson. Rivers is slow, poorly skilled. Dont think he contested one leading mark today, just couldnt get to the contest. Macdonald sets up the play a lot better. Similarly to Dunn, batram makes too many errors when the chips are down. Jones gets caught too often and just blazes away when he does have it. I just hope to god they don't replace Hughes with Miller. Im finding Scully's kicking quite frustrating but he is too good at finding the ball to drop. Edit: Bruce has done a hammy add him to the outs
  5. BAILS you the man....
  6. Im just trying to make the point that we need to keep our expectations in line, because the media wont.
  7. I just hope he doesnt cop too much of a pasting from the media post game. Afterall its going to be hard for him to have a huge impact, its almost like he is debuting again in my eyes.
  8. Luckily for them they got pick 12 in the Fevola deal beacuase Kane Lucas looks like a gem also, so they didnt completely lose out.
  9. Not seeing Blease on this list is a relief, lets hope the soreness wasnt too bad on the wekeend.
  10. Delete this joke of a thread. The fact that someone thinks it is worthy of a thread shows a lack of passion and a lack of respect to the club and us true supporters.
  11. Watts play and not completely stink. Kennedy to get smashed (somehow legally).
  12. Actually could be more than one in Baileys eyes. On SEN this morning when asked about Watts he said hes already played a couple of "good games" for Casey and he hopes he plays well again today. Looks like he did that so we may see him sooner rather than later.
  13. Beauty! any idea what sort of goals, well earned or cheapies?
  14. That cant be good, really disappointing. Looks as though we will need more patience with Blease than we do with Watts due to this injury.
  15. Im convinced umpires are sick and deranged humans. The sad thing is the AFL, a supposedly world class organisation, encourages the debacle we saw last night. If it wasnt for my passion for the MFC i would walk away from the game forever, last night was the last straw.
  16. I remember when Bails announced jurrahs shoulder earlier than anywhere else so he could be onto something here.
  17. The thing is with such doom and gloom surrounding Watts im kind of desperate for some positives regarding his performances. He surely cant be that bad.
  18. Shattered, another season of development wasted. Looked really promising. I like players who love a contest and ricky is one of those.
  19. Youre right, there was a report over on the Casey board that pretty much said every player had no impact on the game which concerned me, but Gotchs review is more balanced. I think im going to start to wait for Brad Gotchs reviews in the future rather than rely on one line analysis from fans in the outer. If watts kicked straight he could have had 3 goals.
  20. I tend to agree with all you have said here. Physically ready or not, the fact is his form is bad. If he was dominating at VFL level he would be playing this week dont worry about that.
  21. Im interested to know how much footy the recruiting staff saw him play outside of the National Championships. Is it right that he only played a handful of games for Sandringham in his draft year, did he perform well there? Highlights of his under 18s Vic games show him go at marking contests pretty strongly.
  22. Jack Watts, its time. Reasonable form at Casey is good enough given we have few other options. As mentioned above, as long as its not Miller or Newton.
  23. agree with this, although id replace macdonald with Petterd (inj). Dunn made critical errors all day and Martin played at VFL pace. North really choked our defensive run by using a heavy forward flood. Really frustrating.
  24. Correct, the finals talk last week was nauseating. I know he won the rising star nomination but i felt Trengove looked really lethargic so perhaps he will be rotated with McKenzie next week and Rivers will make way for Cheney? I dont think Macdonald deserves to be dropped just yet.
  25. Disagree, he constantly makes poor handball decisions, putting players under pressure or missing targets. Today his biggest problem was his softness. Saw 2 or 3 blatant examples of him going too casually at the contest which was costly to us. The only reason he stands out to most people is beacause he still has a good engine so gets involved a lot.
