Farewell Luke Jackson
If JHF gets to Port their pick #8 and future first is gone and with them go the idea that Freo can trade for that pick #8 to use in the Jackson package. They of course can try and trade with other clubs to get that top 10 pick. Otherwise they will have little choice than to include a very good, proven, elite player in lieu of a top 10 pick. They have a few of them - just need to convince one of the Vic lads to come home! And then include this year's pick #14 +/- swaps/sweetener depending on the player. Alternatively, let Jackson go to their arch enemy. Freo: Rock vs Hard Place!

Farewell Luke Jackson
From Fox footy: "Luke Jackson looms as the messiest trade of the off-season, with both West Coast and Fremantle still in play for the young ruckās services. The Dockers are the overwhelming favourites to snare Jackson, but they canāt come close to meeting Melbourneās demand of two first round picks as a deal. Freoās first draft pick is at 13 and then thereās currently nothing until 72. Griffin Logueās trade to North Melbourne will help the Dockers bolster their draft hand if they do cough up pick 13 and a 2023 first round pick for Jackson. West Coast meantime are open to splitting their pick two ā which would become a three should Will Ashcroft go early as predicted. But list boss Rohan OāBrien has confirmed the Eagles wonāt be offering that as a trade for Jackson. āThereās an air of confidence that we think we can convince him and hopefully get the deal done,ā OāBrien said on SEN. āOpportunities like Luke donāt come along very often.ā I like that Eagles are keeping the heat on Freo.

Farewell Toby Bedford
On media reports we rated him very highly and the three year contract has been on the table for a long time. It looks more like we can't give him confidence of getting games whereas other clubs can. I think it has a bit to do with our game plan. Bedford's string of senior games was when we experimented with an extra small fwd and one less medium/tall. That experimented lasted about a month or so then he lost his spot.

Hawks racism allegations (merged thread)
WorkSafe are now involved worksafe-probes-hawthorn-amid-racism-allegations They AFL will now have three 'reports' to fight 'rear guard' actions on if it doesn't get its 'panel' together very quickly. They have completely lost control of this. They can't shape the agenda, the optics nor the outcomes. Which is probably a good thing. Too much manipulation of 'negative' news in the past.

I think Jordon injured his foot or ankle. Bowey is the really interesting one. My theory is that in the Geelong game they rag dolled him and was dropped so that he could bulk up. He was probably tired having played about 20 games straight in his 'first' year into the second. Will come back bigger and stronger next year.- Hawks racism allegations (merged thread)
Not sure if you would call the extract's from Mitchell's book evidence but no one complained at the time it was published. Referenced in the article fresh-allegations-emerge-of-alastair-clarkson-s-controlling-behaviour: " Mitchell detailed some elements of his fall-out with Clarkson in his autobiography Relentless, which was published after his playing retirement. He stated in the book that he came close to leaving Hawthorn for Collingwood so deep was his disappointment at the way he was treated by the senior coach". Some really unsavoury stuff quoted from Mitchell's book.- 2022 Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy
This is the ranking based on average per game played. Our voting system scores a player our of 40 for each game. So only the top 5 got a pass ie >20 votes per game. I doubt our coaches would be shy about giving a player 0 in a game which clearly would bring the average down. Looks like a lot of 0 to 2 votes during the year. The biggest surprise for me is Lever. He didn't have a good year but I didn't think it was that bad, especially as he had to shore up the defence in May's absence, Petty out injured and he himself played many games injured.- Farewell Jayden Hunt
What is 'historical negationism' about it. It was written six years ago!! In 2016, the year he made his debut and played 19 of 22 games.- 2022 Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy

Why can't we be gracious and appreciate his time in our beloved red and blue. For mine he will be my favourite opp player! Hope it all goes well for you, Jayden. Will miss you, your flair and your feistiness!.- Farewell Jayden Hunt
Is that a fact? Or are you just kicking a kid when he is reluctantly leaving? Most unfair You realise he was taken at pick #57?- Mitch Georgiades

Another thread to not open!- Farewell Jayden Hunt
His contracts have been for 2 years at time. I would be surprised if he was on $400k at the dees or if he gets that at WCE. Sometimes we fans over estimate a player's salary e.g Freo reportedly offered Blake Acres a two year contract of $200-$300 p.a. Carlton offered $350k for three years. Not wishing to compare the players more giving an example of some salary realities for 'journeymen'.- What's next for Adem Yze?
They may not be so overjoyed for too long. David King has highlighted that in the 10 years Scott was at North they did not finish in the top 4 in the H&S season. They made the finals twice and reached the PF but lost both. They got the most experienced coach available but doubt anyone can say he has a successful track record.- What's next for Adem Yze?
So much for being united! How embarrassing for a Board member come out and say that especially now. Oh well, looks like the undermining will continue.- Farewell Jayden Hunt
Possibly. I didn't think he would get that sort of offer. I was using the Amon deal of 4 years on $600 to $650, as a guide and Port get a 2nd round pick.- What's next for Adem Yze?
I'm glad he said 'shattered' just to let them know messing around with someone's career isn't ok. Ess never had any ethics. Still don't!- Port chasing Kozzy Pickett
Noise thrown around from one media stooge to another!- Farewell Jayden Hunt
So for Jayden we would get a third round pick currently #51 but that will come in to a pick possibly in the low 40's once the second and third round picks have been cashed in for F/S. Can't tell you much it pains me to write that.
