What is that?

I thought the AFL season was Oct 1 to September 30. All player and FD contracts are to EOS ie Sept 30 and that is when the membership roll-overs and renewals can start. That would make our memberships for the season technically ending Sept 30. A MCC member might confirm that is the date their membership rolls over...? It could have changed but that was my understanding. Not sure what the merchandising situation is between one season ending (Sept) and receiving the next year's membership card (Jan). My guess is most stores/sites accept the season just ended membership.

Just had a go. It looks like at this stage it is just for Eagles members 😟. I'm guessing mfc members will be part of the general public ticket sales which may not open for a few weeks.

I also thought it was 3 years but checked today.

Unfortunately Bannan can be poached. While she has been with us for 2 years the AFL rule relates to having played 3 seasons which she has: 2 seasons in 2022.

Not seen anything about dees' players yet. I daresay a number have been targetted so no news means no-one has been enticed to leave, so far. That there are no whispers is encouraging. Ess and Hawks have a max of 5 players they can sign from other clubs. If Hawthorn get 2 from Lions that leaves 3 those two teams can get. Will any of our players move interstate? 🙏🤞they don't. Conjecture or inside info?

I decided to go to my normal ticketmaster account I use for bookings. They have added a layer of security. Was able to get in on pc but oddly not via mfc apps on phone or tablet. All that aside for @La Dee-vina Comediathe invoice and payment details were in the ticketmaster account when accessed via mfc.

Haven't tried the app yet. Info should be available on any device.

Thanks for the clarification. I couldn't possibly put myself listening to him. Maybe SEN need to word their material better because what was written didn't seem much like what you described.

HFC offloaded him for sal cap and to develop young players. I agree FFC need big bodied midfielders but with O'Meara, (Jackson and others) so my point was they won't miss Mundy that much, which was the point of the post I first responded to.

His dodgy knees won't stop him throwing his weight around or getting in and under. Nor stop him protecting the young midfielders. Also he has played 18 and 21 games in the last two seasons so his knees seem less of an issue these days.

Unfortunately, the AFL is starting a new weekly 'trade and draft fix' https://www.afl.com.au/news/875183/gettable-your-weekly-trade-and-draft-fix-starting-in-2023 To me this makes a mockery of the supposed AFL policy that players are not to be targetted mid season. Obviously that policy has been surreptitiously abandoned. For the AFL to sponsor and feed the rumour mill is appalling, imv. As it is, we have 3 weeks of trade week rubbish but to be subjected to it all year is beyond the pail. We don't need to watch it but their discussion will be reported on all forms of media so the fake news and rumours will be hard to avoid. It seems clubs are on board as "Recruiters, list managers, players, agents and draftees will all feature on Gettable, which will be must-watch for fans of all clubs". So there will be heaps of fake news/rumours: all in the interests of AFL click bait. Will really feel for the players that are affected by any rumours aired.

They are expecting O'Meara to be the new Mundy and will probably be better.

I wasn't suggesting anyone else should have access. What I described was the standard process of an mfc member accessing their account which is held by ticketmaster, though mfc login. Have you tried to login?

Membership account, invoice and payment details are held by ticketmaster (an AFL thing) and is accessed after Login. I just logged in and saw a complete blank page with the message '403 Forbidden' which I think means I don't have access rights to that page. I haven't tried to access my account since last season so can't tell if it is my device(pc)/system or something to do with AFL/ticketmaster/mfc systems that denies access. Would someone else try to login to their account. I followed this sequence from mfc website: - Membership - Login which takes me to the tickemaster website but a blank page and the '403 Forbidden' message. And report back what happens, please? TIA

A little talked about aspect of Kozzie going to Port is the position he plays. At the dees he is head and shoulders above other small fwds/mids. He has licence to roam and go for his shots from wherever. At Port he is competing with 'Junior' Rioli and Zac Butters for the same role. It could be argued they are as good as Kozzie, maybe not to us biased dees fans but those guys are pretty good and stand up in big games. So Kozzie may not be able to have the same impact there. Stay at the dees and he will be an AA and hopefully have another premiership.

Corns makes it sound like Kozzie hasn't done much at the Dees as if being at the dees has held him back. The kid has a premiership medal, is revered by fans, teammates and the club. Hugely respected and feared by opponents. Has had excellent development and loves the club. How much bigger and better can it be at Port, a team that yo-yos on the ladder, who will probably change coaches this year. The much 'bigger and better' things for Kozzie are at the dees, not Port eg another premiership medal. Port are some way from that. The lure of family and home is the only materially better thing Port can offer. Cut the bs, Kane!!
