  1. From various reports the 5-6 probably were: Fritsch (knee), Max (back), Petracca (broken leg), Oliver (thumb/hand), Langdon (ribs), Brown (knee). Maybe Lever? All very difficult to replace with someone from Casey. To go into a final with 3-4 injuries is risky. Imv with 5-7 is downright foolhardy and inviting trouble. Perhaps we compounded the injuries by also selecting players that weren't necessarily best 22. Would Bowey/JVR have been a better choice than Melksham/Hunt/Rivers (and change some positions). Would we have not got value bringing on our sub: Joel Smith (whose selection had to be cover for one of the injured). Momentum swung early in the last when the injured were spent; no Joel! No idea why we almost never use our sub!! Oh, and btw, it would have been helpful if Jackson had played a half decent game to help Max. A very poor effort by him in a vital game for his team. Not whitewashing the result but imv we beat ourselves in that semi mainly from poor player management decisions before and during the game. Sorry to bring up some 'old chestnuts' but hopefully it doesn't encourage 'whipping boy' posts. 🥺
  2. I think they targetted Maddie when they first came into the comp and she knocked them back. Not sure they tried again as part of this priority psp recruiting.
  3. get-stuck-into-melbourne-premiers-dodge-player-raids-so-far A bit of tongue-in-cheek from Collingwood's Ruby Schleicher: "It would be nice if people went through Melbourne a little bit," Schleicher said with a smile. "They're sticking pretty bloody fat. "All of the list managers out there, if you could start getting stuck into Melbourne I'd really appreciate it because they’re very solid." That suggests players have been approached but not enticed. From the article: "Keeping their squad together is rather on brand for the Demons, who rarely lose players to rival clubs. Even when Shelley Scott left for Geelong, she did so mainly to be closer to home". That there are no rumours about us losing a player bodes well. Still 5 days to go so anything can happen. Feeling quietly optimistic that our top 6-10 players will remain. 🤞🙏
  4. Cornes is clearly going to bat for Port and Richardson was implying whether Corns was now Port's list manager. A cheeky dig on Richardson's part.
  5. I thought the AFL season was Oct 1 to September 30. All player and FD contracts are to EOS ie Sept 30 and that is when the membership roll-overs and renewals can start. That would make our memberships for the season technically ending Sept 30. A MCC member might confirm that is the date their membership rolls over...? It could have changed but that was my understanding. Not sure what the merchandising situation is between one season ending (Sept) and receiving the next year's membership card (Jan). My guess is most stores/sites accept the season just ended membership.
  6. Relax 'layzie.🙃 No amount of 'brainbusting' will give the answer until he signs or after we play our last game. Either is many many months away.
  7. I guessed wrong 🙄
  8. Watch this space on AFL website: https://www.afl.com.au/fixture?Competition=1&CompSeason=52&MatchTimezone=MY_TIME&Regions=2&ShowBettingOdds=1&GameWeeks=1&Teams=17&Venues=3#byclub Our Eagles game seems to be the only ones for which tickets aren't currently available. (Checked Freo games and they are also unavailable right now). I'm guessing ticket sales will open 2-3 weeks before the game.
  9. Just guessing, it may be a stadium/ticketmaster/club decision so unique to Optus...
  10. Just had a go. It looks like at this stage it is just for Eagles members 😟. I'm guessing mfc members will be part of the general public ticket sales which may not open for a few weeks.
  11. I also thought it was 3 years but checked today.
  12. Unfortunately Bannan can be poached. While she has been with us for 2 years the AFL rule relates to having played 3 seasons which she has: 2 seasons in 2022.
  13. Not seen anything about dees' players yet. I daresay a number have been targetted so no news means no-one has been enticed to leave, so far. That there are no whispers is encouraging. Ess and Hawks have a max of 5 players they can sign from other clubs. If Hawthorn get 2 from Lions that leaves 3 those two teams can get. Will any of our players move interstate? 🙏🤞they don't. Sydney is the danger team. Having signed Molloy they can take 4 more and have a raft of additional benefits: Granted an additional three list spots for season eight, reducing to two for season nine and none for season 10 Can sign up to five players during PSP Can offer a "secondary relocation reimbursement/payment" to those players Can offer longer-term contracts with an additional two seasons more than that which is allowed in season eight, for two players only Can offer longer-term contracts with an additional one season more than allowed in season eight, for three players only Of those benefits the only one the other teams get is # 3. Those longer terms may be quite enticing to a player who may be uncertain about her future. Could be worth a lot more than money.
  14. Here are a few more possible/probable moves: Woodlands from Crows to Port. https://www.womens.afl/news/118352/out-of-the-woodland-port-to-prise-spearhead-away-from-the-crows While not psp signings, also mentioned in that article: As revealed by womens.afl on Tuesday, St Kilda fan favourite Caitlin Greiser – the League's leading goalkicker in the 2020 season – is also likely to move, having attracted the attentions of Richmond. Following the loss of Woodland to Port Adelaide, it's tipped that Adelaide will land Leah Cutting from St Kilda and Jess Allan from Greater Western Sydney as it looks to replenish its playing group. Bates, Bodey and Svarc from Lions to Hawks. There's growing industry confidence that at least Bates and Bodey will lob at the Hawks, while Svarc is still believed to be weighing up their interest and also has other Victorian clubs monitoring her situation. https://www.womens.afl/news/118355/hawks-eye-lions-premiership-trio-as-psp-pursuits-heat-up Cuthbertson from Freo to Port https://www.womens.afl/news/118359/dockers-defender-on-the-move-on-eve-of-psp All are big loses from the more successful AFLW clubs
  15. I decided to go to my normal ticketmaster account I use for bookings. They have added a layer of security. Was able to get in on pc but oddly not via mfc apps on phone or tablet. All that aside for @La Dee-vina Comediathe invoice and payment details were in the ticketmaster account when accessed via mfc.
  16. Haven't tried the app yet. Info should be available on any device.
  17. Do you see the invoice and payment of your membership?
  18. Thanks for the clarification. I couldn't possibly put myself listening to him. Maybe SEN need to word their material better because what was written didn't seem much like what you described.
  19. HFC offloaded him for sal cap and to develop young players. I agree FFC need big bodied midfielders but with O'Meara, (Jackson and others) so my point was they won't miss Mundy that much, which was the point of the post I first responded to.
  20. His dodgy knees won't stop him throwing his weight around or getting in and under. Nor stop him protecting the young midfielders. Also he has played 18 and 21 games in the last two seasons so his knees seem less of an issue these days.
  21. Unfortunately, the AFL is starting a new weekly 'trade and draft fix' https://www.afl.com.au/news/875183/gettable-your-weekly-trade-and-draft-fix-starting-in-2023 To me this makes a mockery of the supposed AFL policy that players are not to be targetted mid season. Obviously that policy has been surreptitiously abandoned. For the AFL to sponsor and feed the rumour mill is appalling, imv. As it is, we have 3 weeks of trade week rubbish but to be subjected to it all year is beyond the pail. We don't need to watch it but their discussion will be reported on all forms of media so the fake news and rumours will be hard to avoid. It seems clubs are on board as "Recruiters, list managers, players, agents and draftees will all feature on Gettable, which will be must-watch for fans of all clubs". So there will be heaps of fake news/rumours: all in the interests of AFL click bait. Will really feel for the players that are affected by any rumours aired.
  22. They are expecting O'Meara to be the new Mundy and will probably be better.
  23. I wasn't suggesting anyone else should have access. What I described was the standard process of an mfc member accessing their account which is held by ticketmaster, though mfc login. Have you tried to login?
