Gary Pert Quits as MFC CEO
Wasn't there a bit of friction between PJ & the Board at the end ? I seem to recollect that PJ made recommendations about the new CEO which were ignored.

Gary Pert Quits as MFC CEO
Hardly a surprise. Several media commentators predicted this saying his position was untenable after the "Clarry to Geelong" saga. Let's hope we replace him with a quality person. Let's face it we haven't had many decent CEOs recently.

Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
I saw Aguirre the Wrath of God by Herzog in the 70's. A most bizarre, tedious & incomprehensible film.

No better than Schache

Time to go Goody?
Agree. If we reckon Spargo out was a major issue then we have real problems.

Time to go Goody?
Good. You can join the conga line of Goodie hagiographers worshipping at his shrine. It'll probably also increase the intellectual levels on Demonland considerably 😂😂

Happy with AMW. Showed some good dash, initiative & desperation when he played seniors. Also made errors which is to be expected. If he can tidy up some parts of his game he could slot in as a regular player.

Exactly. There is almost a US style "fake news" obsession with many Demonland supporters blaming all our alleged troubles on the media. To them the Joel Smith saga 2023 Clarry saga, Brodie Grundy debacle, 2022 & 2023 finals failures, 2024 Fremantle disaster, Trac injury saga, & Clarry 2024 saga were just Media beat ups. Everything is fine, the coaches are doing great, the Football Dpt is doing well & the Board is terrific. All good nothing to see.

You are sounding like a Trump election denier. I suppose Tom Stewart made up the story of meeting Oliver at Geelong while he visited their facilities.

On the first day of trading every media organisation reported Clarry was being shopped around by Pert possibly to Geelong. Tom Stewart admitted meeting Clarry when he toured the Cats facility. Pert declined to scotch the rumours. After a week of brouhaha Brad Green released a statement saying the Board had met & decided Clarry would not be traded. Several commentators have called for Pert's resignation over the matter. Do try & keep up 58er.

Yours is the dribble. You point us to evidence that Pert didn't shop him around. Maybe the boot studder took it upon himself to shop around one of our vest players. The fact that the Board had to intervene to stop it is embarrassing.

I dont think he was talking to Geelong about pasta recipes was he. This is all on Pert. By shopping Clarry around he started the media speculation and put the Club in an embarrassing position.

Pass. He's a bit "beige" for mine.

5 year contract cap suggested
5 year cap is a great idea. 2 player maximum. More & more players are going on long term deals with potential to bankrupt Clubs.

And you can lead the conga line of cheer squad of apologists as the Club's leaders destroy what should have been a golden era but is turning into a train wreck. Instead of 2 or 3 flags we are the AFL's laughing stock. Well done.

If you think our player trading in the last 3 years has been ok then good luck to you. I think it's been dreadful & taken us backwards & heads should roll. And measuring us against North & Freo is a road to nowhere.

Open Letter to the MFC
When this sort of carp happens @ Hawthorn, Carlton or Collingwood the supporters stage a revolution. Whereas as our lot include lots of sycophants & apologists. And that is why they have had more success than us in the last 50 years. If Satyriconhome was running things Neeld & Cam Schwab would still be running things.

Dear bewildered drafting has been good. Player trading has been terrible & made our list worse to whit Dunstan, Schache, Hunter, McAdam, Fullerton, Billings. Compare that to Hawthorn & Geelong in the same period.

Open Letter to the MFC
You seem to have done very little except make excuses for the current administration & blame everything on the media or supporters asking serious questions. You & a group of other posters continue to enable & reward poor performance & accountability.
