  1. Thanks for sharing Jazza and Grand. I have been down this road with a close friend who is the smartest, kindest, most switched on person you will ever meet. After stints in hospital, she is now off all her meds and feels great after being lost in a fog for the last decade. I hope you guys are getting lots of love, hugs and support from those around you.
  2. Great - it accepted Visa. Donated again this year. Great work by everyone here - I love the site. Hope we have lots of positive things to discuss this year. Living in a house of Collingwood supporters, you guys keep me sane.
  3. I am a life member and happy to donate to keep this great forum afloat. The only problem is that I do not have a Paypal account. Is there any other way I can make a donation?
  4. I just read a tweet from Mitch thanking the MFC and everyone for their support. Whatever emotional issues and disappointment about the ongoing health issues he is experiencing, we as Melbourne supporters should be behind him 100% of the way. He is only 26 years old and those that know about young men and emotional issues understand that it is support, encouragement and patience that is required. We cannot cast him aside and reject him now. Hang in there Mitch - this Demon supporter is with you all the way. Stay strong.
  5. I didn't bother checking the score - thought it would be so one sided so I watched the GP instead. Wow.
  6. I cannot even entertain the concept of changing teams ever. I was born a Demon and will die a Demon. If the club folded, I would give up AFL for good. My best friend is a life long Essendon supporter and seriously considering following the Dogs.
  7. So saddened by this terrible news. RIP Dean.
  8. I was overseas and missed the Richmond match but did listen on SEN poolside in Phuket. Looking forward to watching the boys in action tonight. I have planned a night in with pizza watching my beloved Dees. Friday nights do not get much better than that!
  9. Bloody fantastic
  10. I'm overseas - score please?
  11. My rescue dog came to me last year from the shelter with a Collingwood rug and chewable football - once he settled in they went straight to the bin. My little Demon girl dog of 14 years went to heaven in November ( I had her cremated in her Demon dog rug) so I signed up the rescue dog for a Melbourne pet membership this year. I got this very ordinary looking plastic dog tag from the club in return. My husband also signed him up as a Collingwood member and in the post this week arrived a Collingwood dog lead (good quality) and a travel water bowl that folds up. I know the mutt loves me the best but the comparison was ridiculous. I am a midwife and at the private hospital that I work at, the new mums are given a goodie bag and inside amongst other things is a Collingwood baby jumper and details of how to sign the newborns up to be Collingwood members! They really have it all well covered. I will however keep trying to convert those I come across. My BF is a life long Essendon supporter and disgusted by everything going on with them so I am working on her.... It would be nice to have someone to go to the footy with.
  12. Dad used to take me to see the Dees and also Oakleigh when they were in the VFA when i was a youngster. The only places he refused to take me was Victoria Park, Dandenong and Port Melbourne. I was annoyed at the time but completely get it now.
  13. I agree
  14. Waiting to see what my doggie gets this year. Got a small rug last year that she liked to snuggle up on. The new dog (rescue dog who came to us last year with his Collingwood football) is now signed up as a Demon dog as well. The football went in the bin where it belongs.
  15. Thanks Aaron for everything that you gave to the club. I hope we see you back sooner than later.
  16. I was so sad to hear this terrible news. Sending my best wishes to you and your family Dean.
  17. Jimmy Toumpas and Jack Watts for me.
  18. Next year will be my husbands 11th year as a member and although he barracks for the Pies - he is a good sport about it all. He even tolerates me putting the odd Demon sticker on his bumper bar! His favourite saying is "happy wife - happy life"
  19. I have been overseas a fair bit this year (especially in the last six weeks) and always logged into Demonland rather than reading the trash of the newspapers. You guys tell it like it is and I was able to keep well informed from the other side of the world. Thanks to everyone. I am not a big contributor but I read everything. I have enjoyed being part of the Demonland family - being a Demon supporter can be a lonely place sometimes... I look forward to 2014 with a lighter heart.. and a tinge of optimism.
  20. The Dockers are coming back. The game is now more interesting.
  21. Well I loved Brad Miller during his playing days and rapt that he is coming back to the fold. I am certain Paul Roos knows what he is doing.
  22. I agree totally. Having a shocker.
  23. Great game. I love Friday night footy. Would be better if the Dees were out there.... I live in hope.
