  1. Agree with this. We were into them all day. You could build an empire on Oliver's nasty sneer.
  2. Agree. It's back on.
  3. Go the [censored] DEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Wow. What a thread to start the day we play Hawthorn. How about we beat them and become the next Hawthorn rather than whining about how it's unfair. What have the AFL ever given us apart from mountains of draft picks, a CEO and one of the best coaches of the last 20 years?
  5. I've never minded Robbo as some do on here. I like his passion and I think he understands why football matters.
  6. Nah, just want to win as many games as possible and finish as high as we can.
  7. Would love to get on the cans with Max. A night out with Bernie, Froffies Watts and Max would be fun I reckon.
  8. None of the quotes from Hogan in that article definitively indicate he wants to stay at Melbourne. Poetic license from the journo and the subbie.
  9. World of possibilities for nicknames for this bloke. I'm leaning towards hooch.
  10. Would love this to be the day that the young Dees finally arrive with a win over the reigning champs. No biggie if Hogan is out - Pedo kicked three against the Hawks when they beat us by 100 pts last year so the Hawks are basically Pedo's bunnies.
  11. Pretty sure Roos recruited Viv from Freo when he got here.
  12. Haha certainly does!
  13. Love the way this bloke goes about it. Has all the characteristics you've listed above Nasher, plus a reasonable slice of mongrel which I love!
  14. Fair enough. Thanks for that.
  15. What did he actually say? Did he say "if I get offered more money by a club closer to a premiership I will leave" or just "no, it is not true that I am angry at the amount of cash being offered Hurley"?
  16. Well, given he is apparently receiving offers of more money from clubs that are clearly closer to premierships, it would seem we're in trouble.
  17. I don't mind them giving the kids a taste at the end of the year. Kind of gets the big debut out of the way so it's not on their mind all pre-season. 20.4 for the season excites me. I'm not a Dawes hater, but I'd love to see Jesse out there with him. Would be pretty special to see that for the first time. Might also be good for Jesse to have a little brother to look after. Would help take his mind off his own frustrations.
  18. Haha that is an amazingly good description of Hawthorn.
  19. Knowing some of the posters on here, I'm sure someone will be complaining about something.
  20. We tend to play better the week after playing poorly. And I don't reckon Hawthorn are as good as they used to be. Reckon we're a sneaky chance.
  21. My brain says he's worth another year on peanuts. It would break my heart if they got rid of him!
  22. I wouldn't say I'm particularly uneasy about Goodwin. It's just a fact that it's a big step up from being an assistant to being the main man. Mark Neeld was the most highly rated assistant at the premiership club. Julia Gillard was the most talented front bencher in the govt. The top job is always harder and you never know if someone's going to make it until they're in the job. I'm certain that we've done everything we can to pick the right bloke and give him the best possible chance to succeed. And Roos has done this very successfully up at Sydney. But there will still be uncertainty until it happens. That's life and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes!
  23. I reckon Dunstall seems like a good bloke and is usually complimentary of Melbourne. His comment was "I can see why Melbourne supporters go to the snow" after yet another mistake. It was funny and completely warranted given the way we were playing. Agree that King is an absolute [censored] who talks shite.
  24. Not sure you read the comment I was responding to.
