I would say the vast majority of players that delay talks in the second last year of their contract end up staying.

This is such a great thread! Love hearing all these old stories. I used to chuck torn up paper in the air after a goal as a kid in the early 90s. One day a steward came and took our bag of paper of us so that must've been when it was phased out. I would've loved to have gone to all the old grounds but only made it to victoria park, western oval and prince's park before they stopped using them. Also Kardinia Park but that's still in use (the trip down there last year was pretty fun). Can I ask why you were all sleeping outside the grounds on Friday nights?
