Bring Back One Player
As much as i loved Schwartz or Jakovich in their prime, or any number of others, it’s impossible not to pick Robbie. Best I’ve ever seen play …from any club.

Training Ground?
dude… you’ve got to update your profile name! Its a new world.

Mac Andrew
I’m so glad our recruits don’t come in under that kind of pressure anymore! how many careers were ruined that way. I truly wish him well but can see no way, with that build, playing ruck he will impact the comp in 2022. Nor should he remotely be expected to.

Farewell Luke Jackson
and this against the best in the comp!

Scott: 2021 Cats/Dees Prelim Should've Been Postponed
Boom! named it in one I think the most irritating thing about listening to Scott is that it feels like he's diminishing our prelim win or trying to. He's also no doubt trying to protect his coaching position and legacy. Wouldnt you LOVE to hear him say, I realise the game style we were using had too many holes and Melb was a team that could really show those holes up. This is at least as true as anything else. I'll look forward to Geelong finishing in the top 6 and getting bundled out in the 1st week ...again. I have a special reserved hate for this team now.

Petracca: Hall of Famer?
another season or two like the one he just had and it’s a done deal.

Part 5: Dees top 100 of the past 50 years – (the top 20)
Awesome work. For the record, obviously I loved the guy as a kid, Wells didnt leave for success but was moved on to save money. But I too was super happy he won a flag at the blues. I recognise it's all conjecture and its impossible to please everyone which is half the fun of this type of thing but, for mine, Neitz should be somewhere top 15 but not top 5. A very very good player but imo not a great.

Farewell Luke Jackson
so……. any actual news about his contract status?

Dees Primed for Repeated Glory
Poor fools. Teams will dream , and then fail as we used to. The dees are only going to better next year.

COVID Disruptions 2022
Going to be quite a year isn’t it. Clubs that get hit with a covid outbreak mid season may be worse off than clubs getting it now. virus timing may influence the premiership. Then there is the possibility of massive outs for one side pre big games leading to one sided slaughters on prime time. Games cancelled, ring in players, schedule changes…. interesting times. I feel grateful we got a flag in front of 60k in a relatively simple year! It’s just so hard to predict what’s coming now. I’ll go to the g (when/ if it’s possible ) with a heightened awareness of the pleasure in it. Regardless…. we are premiers. No one and nothing can ever take that away now.

Has 186 been laid to rest?
completely put to rest. I think the pain we inflicted on Geelong this year as well as winning a flag fully closes that chapter. proof in point. when i think of Geelong now , I smile broadly and notice my Geelong friends grimace a little when we talk footy. Round 23 or the PF is all that’s left in my memory of them. somewhere in a galaxy far far away i hear that the world was once temporarily out of balance re Geelong and Melb but the equilibrium is now restored.

Is it time to reset the Chris Sullivan line?
I think in these glory years we need to talk more about the Max Gawn line.. ie As long as we’re within 44 points approaching time on in the 3rd we’re a big chance :-)

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Such a good watch. Makes so much of what he does look easy. Incredible to think we picked up Pickett, Jackson and Rivers in one draft. Would be no surprise if they were all AA at some stage.

Glenn Boland
Bolands overs this morning were a bit like the end of the third. All happened in a rush!,

Kate Roffey interview
Yes, she seems great in this position and speaks well. However imo she will be judged in the end on her capacity to get a home base across the line.,

What they're saying about Max elsewhere
Theres an old saying " trust leaves on horseback and comes back on foot" We have been busy losing trust for the last 56 years...and been walking back with it only in very recent years. All teams supporters want to hope we're a one hit wonder as it opens up larger possibilities for their team to win...and they're used to laughing at or at the least discounting the dees. Looking at the bigger picture we deserve it. That being said I don't believe we're anywhere near done. We were unbelievable in the finals this year and I honestly think that that was just a collective waking up to how good they really are. I dont think we've near peaked yet. This side, with a bit of luck could win 3 flags or more in the next 5 years.

TRAINING: Friday 10th December 2021
He must have been heart broken at how things panned out. He had a spot in the team sewn up right before the finals. If anything would motivate him to take the extra steps re his body surely its missing out on that flag. When I think about him, Hunt, Jordan, Tomlinson, Weideman, Dunstan even Daw and then to a lesser extent Laurie and Rosman ( both unproven) thats a lot of scrambling for places in our next flag attempt.

TRAINING: Monday 6th December 2021
wondering how May has gotten on with his massive hammy tear. Anyone got any info?

Farewell Shannon Byrnes
Jones maybe? Be great to keep him around the club.

We nailed the 1986 Draft...or did we?
I cant remember who it was, but I heard a long while back that the mistake wasnt picking Darren but not picking his brother Andrew too. In hindsight they felt if they they had picked both they might have come over together. But hey...these things no longer disturb me in any way :-)

Schadenfreude at last
The driver of that thing must have had a big day. After he ran over howe he drove on further, out toward geelong, and ran over Isaac Smith as well.

Jared Polec
Theres not a lot of love for him on this site but I think he's a way better player than given credit for. Big questions around his defensive game which wont endear him to goody or to the club ethos. He could come on a low wage, sort out his game, and join Dunstan as immediate back up with a flag chance if he applied himself and the cards fall his way.
