  1. Riv looks good driving his legs out of contest.
  2. Our entire identity has fallen apart as a result of trying to adjust our game plan. Same amount of inside 50’s. 50 points behind. We just don’t know what we value anymore as a team.
  3. This Hawthorn team is remarkably unlikeable for a team that has achieved absolutely nothing.
  4. We are well off it, but this umpiring is horrific. We are out there
  5. Sharp isn’t up to it
  6. Sicily just pushed Clarry over after the goal and the umpire seriously went to him and asked him not to do it again. Just pay the free!!!!
  7. The AFL making it very clear today that a throw is fine as long as the ball stays in motion. I hope our next coach is taking note.
  8. Petracca’s kicking has made him 50% less valuable than he was 2 years ago.
  9. Ginnivan towelling up Salem
  10. Petracca and Viney both won clearance, bad hack kicks forward. Turnover. Hawthorn 2 clean kicks - goal. That’s the modern game.
  11. I’d love to know the AFL’s concussion decision making. Nas has a heavy head clash with 2 minutes to go. Stays on. That just isn’t right.
  12. I’m taking it further. I just got a ‘Judd 4eva’ neck tattoo.
  13. If anyone is going to the Eagles they are only doing so for purely lifestyle reasons. They still look years off it.
  14. So the board could go to Switzerland to scout options on the clubs dime, obviously.
  15. I reckon you answered your own question here.
  16. If you take the personality of the reporter out of it, what is actually being reported here? The transition from one President to another will happen slightly later than first reported. When there was a rumour that a transition wasn’t going to happen Brad Green specifically contacted Smith and said there’s absolutely going to be a handover (and then let that be publicly known to quell reports). Then the reporter who initially reported suspicious timing and lack of handover (both disproved) finds this all ‘odd’ - and now that’s the ‘story’? I’m sorry. This is not a story. These late night footy shows on 7 and 9 are just creating this shouty, antagonistic vibe to create the impression of drama and upheaval. Some players are unhappy at Melbourne, and some administration issues haven’t been handled well. Report on that. I’d care about that if someone provided new and substantiated information. This president stuff is a nothing burger. Caro was reporting herself as recently as Monday afternoon that Green sacked Goodwin so Smith could come in clean, but then hours later started saying this. She had 2 shows to fill with content this week. She went with this.
  17. I listened to this and while he amped it up his actual point was irrefutable: There’s a lot of love given to Gawn, Viney, Oliver and Tracc (including the interim coach in his post game conversation with the players) but if you look at the numbers we won that game everywhere on the ground - except at clearance. Something ain’t right.
  18. Yeah, she really has us in the gun. I think it’s quite bizarre to think that someone who has lived in Melbourne since 1994 would get offered a job that they can do from their current home, and not uproot their entire family, BUT would turn that down to move to Hobart. His whole life is here, and it’s Hobart, not Queensland. Caro is clutching here, and it’s weird.
  19. I’ll watch it later, but I listened to The Age Real Footy Podcast today in which Caro clearly implied that Green and the board made the decision so that Smith could start clean. And now she’s saying this. 🤷‍♂️ Caro is bizarre to me. She knows that boards can’t come out and refute most of what she says. Smith will be President, Guerra will be CEO. It’s all very clear. She continues to trade in football board and C level speculation and I don’t think 98% of the football public could care less. I don’t know why anyone pays for her services anymore. She’s so niche, and it’s boring.
  20. Does Jordy Lewis google ‘serial killer style’ to find his glasses? He looks like every 1970’s forensic Police sketch.
  21. Hird a No 😂 What a load of [censored]. Nobody asked him, nobody would. What’s your next tweet Ralphy? Jock McHale and Tommy Hafey have withdrawn interest due to being dead?
  22. I’d love to see a Venn diagram of how many ‘sack the coach!’ Demonlanders are now in the ‘not that guy as coach!’ camp. What was that thing Paul Roos said about the veil of negativity? He might have been onto something.
  23. Agree. That was a wild take from Bevo. It was a good game, but there’s no defending their defensive effort. We kicked 100 points, and Koz only kicked One. I imagine his constant selling is exhausting to their fans.
  24. We had a crack. We tried some things that helps us look different. I liked the midfield mix early, and Bowey forward in the last. If I was a Dogs fan I’d be concerned. They need to kick 120 points to guarantee a win. No disrespect to our forward line but putting almost 100 points on them says more about how they defend than anything about us.
  25. It’s about optics. The appearance of a process is the process. Think of it as a kind of insurance for the board, so they can say ‘We went through a thorough process’. Look at Andrew Dillon. Took the AFL a year of multimillion dollar recruitment fees to discover that, unbelievably, the best man for the job was in the room at the initial meeting.
