Farewell Christian Petracca
That’s a really good outcome for the future of our footy club. I’m happy with that.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but there’s a really good interview with CJ on the channel 7 series ‘Unfiltered’ where he talks about his family leaving Sudan and the challenges they faced. It’s a great story.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
I can’t talk for very long, because I’ve just snuck out of a BBQ with CJ. He’s currently weighing up his options, but is thinking he’ll do a couple of snags and a rissole, and then hit the potato salad. Will keep you updated as I can.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Be interesting to see how we go forward on the draft board, as Essendon (currently holding 4 and 5) have said they are willing to offer them both to get into the top 2.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
And at least throw in a bottle of Veuve, and a 6 pack (but none of that non alcoholic stuff. We are going to need to drown our sorrows).

AFLW: Rd 09 vs Fremantle
Just not good enough today. That will hurt us.

AFLW: Rd 09 vs Fremantle
In a shallow men’s draft I’d be taking Kate Hore. She is a gun!

Great kick Eden.

We really aren’t playing well at all.

Leek Aleer
This is St Kilda admitting publicly that they can’t believe they’ve been able to hoodwink players into transferring to them. Basically they got caught out because they didn’t think there’d be that many suckers in the market. What player would believe them going forward?

Leek Aleer
Tim Lamb said this morning the reason we passed on Derksen was we felt our tall talent was developing well. it’ll be interesting if we go after Leek now.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Essendon have stated publicly that they are willing to turn pick 4 and 5 into pick 1 or 2, so we have no chance of getting into the top 3.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I won’t reveal my sources, so don’t ask, but Clarry chose GWS over Collingwood because he’s furious about the voting structure of the Copeland.
-
Farewell Clayton Oliver
On the upside…. His comments might be key to unlocking the Nick Daicos trade.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Clarry acting like a child isn’t news if you’ve been paying any attention at all the last few years.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Essendon’s list boss Matt Rosa said this morning that they have made it very clear to The Eagles and Richmond that they’d be keen to bundle their picks 4 and 5 into pick 1 or 2. They are keen on Duursma for talent and family reasons. In my opinion this makes the Gold Coast Tracc trade more difficult as we can’t bundle them up to get higher as Essendon will always have a better hand. There was also a bit of inference that the talent drops off quickly after about 5 players (including Academy kids). I think we have to get a player back for Tracc or it looks like a net loss.

Sam Flanders
I think this is a good thing. Either the Suns have to give up some serious value or Petracca is staying. Flanders and a mid pick would have felt very disappointing. I don’t think Flanders turns the dial for any club. There isn’t enough X factor about him. Good luck Gold Coast.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
How is this footy club ever to be taken seriously when they’ve literally handed the entire operation over to one person? The board needs to be sacked for this. It’s one thing to back someone all the way in THEIR ROLE, but entirely another to have no objective oversight on the core of their business. It’s pathetic from St Kilda, and embarrassing from Ross Lyon that he thinks this is acceptable.

Bailey Humphrey
I don’t think the club feels like they can sell that to supporters. I think we have to land a player too, or this will feel like a loss in the eyes of many.

Just out of interest, can anyone recall a player openly nominating a club and then not getting there?

Bailey Humphrey
Humphries, Pickett, Langford through the middle would get me to every home game for the next decade. (Sadly so would Laurie, Sparrow and a re-listed Dunstan. I’m painfully rusted on)

McClure, First of all, there’s no need to bring my hairline into this. I don’t take hair advice from anyone, let alone from someone who can’t even commit to being the ginger they clearly are. And how am I feeling about the club today? I feel like we spent 12 months trying to see if certain players wanted to improve their attitude, and their output, to match their contracts. I think we all saw the results, and I back the club in to make professional decisions based on what I can see from the sidelines, and what they would know from inside the organisation. And finally… get a fridge, fix your light fitting, and never presume to know how I’m feeling again.

I feel like you had a bad garage sale once, and it tainted your whole perception of the world.

I’d like everyone to take a moment to just think about this, what it likely has meant for the last 18 months, and the very specific video made by the club about the coaching announcement. - and how that information wasn’t leaked (because no players were aware except Gawn). I think it explains a lot about how we got here, and why we are moving forward the way we are.
